Seriously have any of you people dissing this game ever been in a game when its in its OB stages or do you all jst start at the start, its Open Beta which also means DEVELOPING which means yeah theres going to be bugs and stuff wrong with it cause its not finsished yet, i garante you that every mmorpg out there today had jst as many bugs as this game when they were developing because you cant make somthing perfect of the start ie. Wow pretty much all of us have seen or played this and trust me it didnt have the 5star start everyone thinks it had its had its fare share of problems i mean you see that still today with patches comming out every couple of months and its had what 4 years to develop and Runes of magic has had like what not even a year.

Also Runes of Magic is f2p meaning it doesnt have the millions of dollars Wow and other games had to get 100s of workers and developers so its not going to be top notch.

Played: Archlord, GW, RFO, Knight Online, Silkroad, WoW, Rappelz, shaiya, Flyff, Fury, Space Cowboy, Perfect World Beta, Rakion, sword of the new world, Linage 1 and 2, Savage 1

    Playing: CSS

Apart from being a bit laggy now and then I've had no major technical problems with the game at all. The only bugs I've seen have been some of the localization and a few quest glitches. So far it's turning out to be the best FTP MMORPG I've played. (Atlantica is good too but i see that as more of a strategy game).

To all of you complaining about the bugs in the game:

You have TOTALLY missed the point.

This is a fantasy MMO, so of course there are bugs in it - beetles, spiders and bats to name just a few.  Luckily you can get weapons (axes are good for this), smash the little buggers and thereby directly help the devs improve the gamecode. This is in technical terms known as DEBUGGING.

So make the world a better place, smash a bug before your neighbor.

What a complete waste of a thread by the OP,

Not ONE reason why the game is bad??  what the heck kinda post is that??

I downloaded the game, played it and I am still playing it, yea is has a few SMALL bugs but as far as playable game I would say its Very playable and not too bad fun wise..

If you are going to slate a game give a fhufghg  reason as to not waste others time

I can second that - I have played for a couple of days and haven´t found anything close to be gamebreaking. Sure there are some rough edges here and there, but even compared to some p2p titles AFTER release this is not bad.

All this bitching can of course be explained by that they don´t understand the purpose of the bugs (see my previous post)

I know quite a few people who have DLed this and they haven't had any problems.  Objectively speaking though, some problems might occur because of where the game was DLed.

But some details about why this game is a failure might help the discussion.  Localisation is a lot harder than just translation.  Since RoM is in OB it's pretty understandable...oh and it's free.  RoM is not without issue, but such an unwarranted statement will only get you flamed.

I write things for the Examiner as the MMO Examiner.

I suggest getting the torrent for it that way you can make sure you get every file by checking it and not ending up with a corrupt or half downloaded file. I remember most of the posts in closed beta complained about corrupt files and this is what fixed it for most people. So to anyone interested in RoM I highly suggest getting the torrent file. :)
