Trial?
Did I read corectly that there will be a trial on January 22nd?

yes to stress test the servers properly and to test high end content : ).
so theywill invite as many as possible to keep the server wiht enough for 10k people on at a time so anywhere form 20-40k alot more if they have more than one server .
It will be a closed beta ,and the only way to get in is to pre-order ,and there is only a small chance to get in since not everyone that pre-ordered will get a key.
I think its bull too! I have been applied to the beta for a LOOOONG time and have not heard anything. And even when there is an NDA things do get leaked... and nothing has been leaked!

They have said that it will be limited, and that those that preorder will get first priority. They havent given any other details, so he could be right...

why dont you reread what tasos said here ill quote it for you.
*A pre-order will be made available mid-February. The pre-orders will get priority for early access to the game. The pre-orders will also get priority for the game launch if we have to go to a staged release.

we dont know how limited it iwll be tho it could be enough to fill that 1 server to stress it or it oculd be mroe than 1 server who knows but they will be inviting at least 20k but i bet more like 40-50k to give a real stress test : )

I am hoping it happens. After so many delays and the tragic release of AoC, players are a bit skittish. A trial before we buy would be welcomed
