Lets say I kill 10 wolves easily. I have proven that I can kill them no problem.
They drop a total of 1 gold. That shiny sword costs 1000 gold.

A level playing field? That is absurd. NO ONE WANTS A LEVEL PLAYING FIELD. Why else do people try and get better items? To tip the scale in their favor.

Well, you didn't answer as to why gold selling, buying, powerleveling, etc... exist, except to generalize that everyone rather cheat (yes, it is cheating if against said MMO's ToS, RoC, EULA), than to play the game as intended.
I think you know what the answer is.

And in case you missed it I called paying someone to do shit you can do yourself or learn youself to get an unfair advantage over people who cannot afford it or are nto willing to pay for it cheating.
Or we can simplify it. How about using devices clearly in violation somethings rules and preset policies cheating.

Do you that that there is no cheating in the Olympics? I would guess that it would be very hard to find any game or competition that there is no cheating going on.

You are just argueing semantics here. If you get something that you did not earn, most would consider it cheating, against the EULA or not.

A game is a game. If I want to work I actually go to work in real life. I don't care if its a competition to you. Not my problem if you feel that way. If I have to grind needlessly I will simply buy it. If I have to grind endlessly I will simply stop to play the game. A game where real life money affects your success is in any case bad designed.
Oh and please explain the connection of skill, grinding and "drop rates and everythign".

This is exactly the type of person the RMT industry is catering to. For lack of better terms, this is a lazy and ignorant player. Anyone who buys virtual money in a video game is essentially cheating. Sure, your reasons may be justifiable, but you are not taking the time to view the big picture.
RMT destroys video game economy, in turn, destroying the game. If you have an argument against this, please share.
The other area where RMT is completely wrong is this: you are paying someone to play a video game. This is just wrong, a crime against humanity if you ask me.
So, when you place those two pieces of information together, you are paying someone to destroy the game you love to play.
Finally, if no one buys the virtual money from the RMTers, and the RMTers realize that they have no market in this game, then they will go away. They will find another game to play which provides more income.
If, however, you do spend money on their "products," they will see that there is profit to be made in this game, and will likely flood the game with spam in an attempt to find lazy and ignorant players to buy their "products."
A cheater is a gamer whom obtains an advantage over other players, making said gamer's playtime easier and giving him/her the ability to be more powerful in a shorter period of time.
Someone who spends real money on virtual money in a MMORPG is cheating, destroying the economy, and is supporting an evil business. There is no good argument for buying virtual money in any respectable MMORPG. It is wrong in so many ways.

Never said there wasn't cheating in the Olympics. Just commenting on your justification of cheating, and should we justify it simply because it exists. If that is what your argument is based on, it's essentially a weak standpoint. I say no, cheating is not justifiable wether it exists or not. And, of the official ethic of any agreed upon rules system as modis operandi of any given event/game, be it a sporting, Olympic or in this case MMO's, there is no justification for cheating, otherwise why even create a rules system to begin with?

Why do you think ppl buy stuff to be ahead? Maybe they couldn't care less about current rankings etc? Maybe they just want to simply skip the boring parts? Its not always about competition.
Someone started to compare MMOs with the olympics but the comparison is flawed. The olympic games are by definition a competition. MMOs are NOT a competition. Its just you wishing they were.

A game is a game. If I want to work I actually go to work in real life. I don't care if its a competition to you. Not my problem if you feel that way. Me myself Id rather buy my daughter something nice or take my fiance out than give those fuckers my gold. But in the end its your choice. Mjones, you are truely one of the more two-faced posters, and apply double standards when it comes to cheating. I cheat by purchasing gold in some games. I'm neither a child, (neither are the dozens of adults know who do it) nor unskilled, nor evil, and like others say, I do use it to level set the playing field vs the folks who have more time to play than me.
Some people have friends and familty power level or farm for them. In almost every p2p MMO account sharing is a clear violation of the rules (go check, except for minor children, you usually can't share).
But even if the rules say you can, I disagree. I think this is a form of cheating on par with hiring someone to do it for you. (Hey, I'm a cheater, I obviously must not have any friends) Only difference is I'm paying someone to do it. You may disagree, but in my eyes, if you condone it, you are no better or worse than me, and certainly just as much of a cheater. (because honestly, rules are relative in an MMO, there's nothing life or death on the line)
DF fans tell us gear isn't that important, so therefore if I purchase gold to replace all the gear that I'll be dropping to others, whats the harm. Like others say, I'll be feeding their purses, they should be greatful for my generosity.
Unless of course, gear turns out to be important afterall. Or are you going to be jealous when I fly by you on my mount because you can't afford one yet. Well, you can try to take it from me I suppose, but hell, I''ll just buy another.

If you gold-farm, myself or many of the other MMO players will hunt you down like sheep...Most of this is because of the anger from many past games being ruined.
I don't really see gold farming being an issue at all with this game...But whatever; if so, I like standing targets.
