I owe Darkfall and Tasos a huge apology. I posted last Thurdsday very angry and dissappointed with the way they are doing their limited sales. Now while I still feel its unfair to most people that work here in NA during those times <well anywhere that may work those times>, and I do think they are taking too long to bring up more servers. On Friday I actually got a copy of Darkfall from someone else and I paid double the sale price. Now I know alot of people are going to think im nuts. The bottom line id pay four times the sale ammount since playing it. This game is f+cking amazing. Now the guy who sold me the account thought it was a pile of dog poo and he was going back to WoW <He was totally serious about WoW>. Darkfall is not the best graphically, its a little clunky to control, its got sync problems. However it also has "magic", that something special. This game is incrediable to play, its so much fun and encomposing you can't leave. The NPC AI plays better then every Alliance BG player. Hell I think if you had 9 DF NPCs with you in a WSG game you would win 90% of the time. The biggest thing I didn't know was how everything breaks eventually and most can't be repaired...this is awesome. Every crafting skill is needed and doesnt go stale. The economy keeps moving due to the durability issue. The only major problem I see is the sync error which eventually causes hunting to be almost impossiable. To the Darkfall team and Tasos, im truely sorry, you have made something special <while not for everyone>. Rest assured this game is not going anywhere and it will battle and topple the other PvP biased games out there. AoC and Warhammer should be critting their pants in fear.

As for Tasos.. apology.. Why ? He's the biggest bullshit artist ever in gaming history. Its his studipity (or deviousness) which has created this perverse supply system. Its his words and list of (mostly badly implemented features or not present) which drove the hype. He ignored 90% of the beta testers and launched. (Because thet have no money left IMHO!). He was behind the wheel of this game for X years and drove into into this weird "release" we have at present. He stamped around talking about "aspiring" and all that other bullshit yet AV own customer service is worse than that of any large MMO company. At best he relies on the poor state of the PVP FFA MMO market to fleece people into a very raw product. Allowing no stress testing and no impartial coversage before launch. At worst he's just a massive prat with zero ideas. though I daresay with posts like "look at the (not a spawn but an experience! ) sea monster"... there plenty to folow him.
Personally I think he's a prat. I might upgrade him to devious shit if they ever "fix" there website.

Those features who have been kept out the release was well known to the playerbase before by official statements....leaving only 4 leged run for Mahirims out and individual player houses. Both because of good reasons ..
And especially individual player houses a very good design decision..IMO i don't want random player houses craping out the wonderfull landscape of Agon so i vote for they never put them in..

That is the truth, the web site lies to the new players looking for information. the features left out where the meat of the game , it gave the rpg part of an mmo, all the is left is people killing each other for nothing , that will not last for long people will get tired of it in a few months. as far as FFA looting wow , when was the last time you looted anything worth having, noone is going to carry anything good with then so ffa fails.. could have been a great game if they finished it with full servers and all features.. now is a mess..

MInus the fan boy thing, he is actually correct. Why apologize to AV here? I highly doubt anyone that works on Darkfall visits these forums. If he seriously wanted to apologize to AV, he could have made a post on the official forums. Maybe even sent them an appreciative email.
What he did was almost like if I wanted to apologize to my neighbor for something. Instead of giving them a phone call or just knocking on their door. I choose the most indirect method, instead of the most direct. The post serves no purpose other then to start another argument between the two camps (which it already has). Happy that he is happy, but his post should have actually been put some on the DF official forums. He could have also just as easily turned it into a First Day impression thread, and tacked on an apology at end.

The game is in beta state, it will be fine in 4 months, but right now, there is no such thing as balance in Darkfall. There is no such thing as a non pvp activity in Darkfall, highend pve is horribly bugged and nearly everything is easier to obtain by farming rather than by crafting.

That pretty much sums it up. We will see if any of these other people who keep flaming the game without actually playing it yet, try this novel approach, or just keep frothing at the mouth "Don't buy Darkfall."
I'm in the States, so I wouldn't think of buying this or most games until those servers are in place (same reason I'm not trying to get into Aion atm). For me, it's another MMO in line for me to possibly try down the line.

MInus the fan boy thing, he is actually correct. Why apologize to AV here? I highly doubt anyone that works on Darkfall visits these forums. If he seriously wanted to apologize to AV, he could have made a post on the official forums. Maybe even sent them an appreciative email.
What he did was almost like if I wanted to apologize to my neighbor for something. Instead of giving them a phone call or just knocking on their door. I choose the most indirect method, instead of the most direct. The post serves no purpose other then to start another argument between the two camps (which it already has). Happy that he is happy, but his post should have actually been put some on the DF official forums. He could have also just as easily turned it into a First Day impression thread, and tacked on an apology at end.

I haven't played the game yet so I have no comment on the game other than when it becomes available again I will ofcourse buy it. Not because I believe it is great but because games are cheap and I prefer to play before I judge something.
With the pile of bad games that have been released over the last years from big developers (Lord of the Rings: Online, Conan: Age of Reckoning, Tabula Rasa, and so on) I have no problem giving a minor company a fair chance as well.

The game is in beta state, it will be fine in 4 months, but right now, there is no such thing as balance in Darkfall. There is no such thing as a non pvp activity in Darkfall, highend pve is horribly bugged and nearly everything is easier to obtain by farming rather than by crafting.

I'm in the States, so I wouldn't think of buying this or most games until those servers are in place (same reason I'm not trying to get into Aion atm). For me, it's another MMO in line for me to possibly try down the line.
