Communication Alliance/Horde

Is it possible at all? I found in ST that I couldn't /tell someone on the horde from an alliance character. Am I wrong?

Will the horde and alliance ever be able to interact with one another outside pvp?

The two sides cannot communicate with each other, to the point where you cant even have an alliance and horde character on the same server. The two sides are enemies at all times.

That somewhat turns me off, Though I realize the reasoning behind it, due to lore and so forth. Don't see why you couldn't do something so simple as /tell a friend of yours who might happen to be horde, while you're alliance.

there are pvp interactions with horde vs alliance players, though - are there not?

In addition to the lore, another reason is that people could spy, log in on the other faction on the server, and switch back, then warn everyone, making the said raid pointless.  The reason you can't talk to eachother, is because they speak different languages, and you might have a friend wisper you if they're planning a raid.

Yeah, makes sense... how does that work in high end content, though? Big bosses, and so forth... will there be totally seperate raid content for each horde and alliance?

As pointed out in this article there'll be the possibility of learning the languages of the four enemy races, and while you still can't communicate directly with them, it opens up a lot of strategic possibilities... ::::28::

Indeed, but it's not really for lore it was a call on grieving...  No one wants some 10 year old spamming you in /tell that he just "f0x0rzd j00 up"...

Last I checked you can have one alliance and one horde if not on a PvP server.
