I hope it works out the way they planned the game, cuz it sounds awsome.  And the graphics look great too.

From the cinematic trailer it looks like players might be able to have their own house or apartment.

Really looking forward to this one. Maybe this will be the game that finally brings my better half over to the dark side? ;)

First, it's made by the guy who made The Longest Journey, which in my opinion is the best adventure game of all time, so I'll have to keep an eye on this. The concept of a dual or maybe shifting reality also brings back some jolly good memories of TLJ, and that can't be bad :) I already dig the concept for this.

Moreover, the fact sheet mentions investigation as if it is a whole other way of playing the game... I hope they mean it and it's not just a by-the-numbers press release bullet. Because if they can accomplish this (and I'm not that hopeful, really), it will be a first step towards the type of MMOs I want to see. I am so bored of "combat only" MMOs.

You have the ability to make foods in other mmos with specific facilities for that craft so why not this too?

Ah those screenshots, only ones I've seen have been the stills from the trailer.

    Yes very nice shots.

Btw unless it's confirmed about houses/apartments I really would'nt put much stock in what you see in a CG trailer as being a feature in a game, nice as it might be rumours tend to suddenly become "Dev facts" for some weird reason.

Good call. CG trailers are just that- trailers. Rarely including actual gameplay elements (such as blenders, mobs showing up in your own player owned house/apt.). They are a marketing tool, and sometimes hinting at the story. Nothing more, nothing less.

I am happy, there is finally some new development on TSW. They started a really nice pr campaign a couple of years ago with mysterious web-sites turning up, puzzles to solve etc., all leading you to their new forums. It was quite intriguing and good fun!

I actually became a member of their community first and only then got interested in AoC, because it was the same developer.

For me, The Longest Journey was the best adventure, I ever played. The story line was on a level of a good novel or film. The successor was not quite so good. It was said, it was the first part of a series, but I have not yet heard of a second part.

So I will definitely follow this game, but will stay a little bit cautious. This one could go both ways: Innovative and brilliant or a big flop...

I'm going to go with neither. Adventure game with puzzles, sounds like an online Myst experience with far better graphics and probably game play. I don't expect much in crafting or housing either.

Until there's more definite info that is. ^_^

    I admit it, I'm hyped.

You are playing a video game. By definition that means you are not hardcore.
