How would a NA player get involved in china's servers.
Is there a retail box we have to buy?
Do they accept american credit cards?
Where would i even find a site to download the game?
Where do i find a site to download the available patches?
-As for me i dont care if they are in chinese or not, i do know how to read chinese but i have been striking out looking for websites with this information.
If anyone could assist, i would be ever thankful.

While I don't know the specifics yet (it's unknown if NA users are going to get an IP ban or not currently) I can answer a few of the questions:
Is there a retail box we have to buy?
- No, you should be able to use the client from open beta to play the game.
Do they accept american credit cards?
- No, it's likely you'll have to go through some middleman to get your CC $ converted to the RMB game currency.
Where would i even find a site to download the game?
- Any site you were able to (if you did) download the open beta client from. Just do a google search on Aion Chinese Open Beta Download or look around various MMO forums.
Where do i find a site to download the available patches?
- Patches should download via your client before you start the game like any other MMO. You should not have to download patches seperately. If you want to play the client in English just download the English Translation patch that was used in the open beta and install it per the instructions. You'll probably find information about that on one of the google sources.
There is a guide you might want to check on here: http://www.aionsource.com/forum/china/12855-guide-how-pay-your-chinese-retail-account.html
It seems like if you pay for Chinese retail using the middleman provided in that link you'll get over 100 hours of gameplay (50 RMB) and in 1 month playing EVERY day that's 3.33 hours of play per day for 1 month. It's actually a pretty nice deal (especially considering you don't have to pay for a retail copy), but you'll be missing out voice dialog and have to go through this inconvience everytime you need to refill your account. I'm personally still debating on whether or not it's worth the hassle right now.
As much as love the game and want to play, i personally dont think its worth the effort to go thur all that just to play. I just pan away for 6 months on WoW, and than when the game release here ill get it than. That way all the work i put into my character wont go to waste. Hopefully NCsoft will see that there where alot of NA/EU players playing in the Cob, for them to rethink the 6 month release thing
Another real issue for you if your "hardcore" is the limit on time you can play per day, as you can't give a "Chinese adult ID" meaning you get 3 hours per day then your at 50% xp, 6 hours then your at no xp, no money, no real anything gain till you log out and rest. Before anyone that reads that stress' the US version won't have that, its a chinese thing.
go to one of those gold seller sites and they can hook you up with an account for a price.
Got my time card and it was easy as hell, gonna be playing in china for awhile. Atleast until NA launches. (all the games out there now suk so I might as will). China is a little more forgiving when it comes to outsiders paying and playing on there servers compaired to korea.
Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...
Me and my guild were planning on playing on CN retail, we are all around lvl 26 and we were enjoying the abyss too much and thought we could keep ourselves entretained until EU release, but after a long thought everyone decided not too, main reason being we dont want to spoilt the game, we will probably play enough to reach the cap on the CN retail then it will just feel like we are rerolling rather than playing a new game, we have collected alot of information organized our guild structure to a far enough point to give us a good solid start on EU retail, and that was really the point of us playing Aion on CN OB.
Now that beta is over will the old guides to access aion through COB still work to get a retail account?
Need new guide for retail account plz!!!
