Anyone from Arkenstone?

Just picked up the game and playing on Arkenstone (US) and i am just wondering if there is anyone here that plays on the same server that can help me out with a few newbie questions that i am no doubt gonna come across.

While the tutorial is great it usually pops up when i am fighting and as a reflex reaction i tend to close it before reading anything, only to curse myself later on for doing so. A problem i had with equiping traits, i took me an hour before someone told me to talk to a minstrel to get it done.

I would also like to know if it is feasible to pick up a crafting profession while leveling or is best to wait till higher levels where you have the gold to support it, as i find myself running out of money just training my new skills. I am currently playing an elf hunter.

At the very least, take up the explorer vocation so you can gather ores and wood to sell. It will help you make money.
