1-Has the game been around to long for a new player to catch up on the mythology?..I tried it when it first came out but with a cyrix cpu and on board SIS video it was pretty much unplayable..

2-How are the populations playing now...?

1. What's your question? Are you worried other players are too far ahead?

Leveling is much easier now than it was years ago. You can get a lot of experience from quests now and the best items are from quests now too. I have a level 150 who has never hunted and only lives off of quest experience. Also not everyone is maxed out like you might think. You really don't need to max out unless you need the last two skill credits, which most people don't need, which is why a lot of people hover around 225 (275 is the max).

2. If you're looking for the most people you should play on Darktide. Darktide has the most players. However, Darktide is a PvP server, so it's difficult to start on. If you want to play on the non-PvP servers, pick any server except VT.

Frostfell would be your best non pvp server, since it has the highest pop. But really anything besides Wintersebb and Vedantine are perfectly fine.

As he said above, if your goal is to get to the 150+ content (where the new/best loot tier is) then you can get there very quickly with a little help. But if you don't need to rush up to that level, then there is a ton of stuff to go explore and try out on your way up.

 

As far as the mythology goes, the lore, there's only a couple people who seem to know it all. But there are some sites that have a lot of this information put into one place.

 

But as for the line, questions before I try, it's free to try anyways you should always give it a shot.
