I've looked into some of the chanter skills and read a lot of posts about them on aionsource......are they like the weakest class ingame????.....I understand that their primary role is group play.........but common...reality implies that you'd find more wanna be RAMBOs ingame than team players....even so....besides the mov spd up buff and some neat buffs which decreases casting time and all.....players would still prefer having a cleric in their group than a chanter coz.....they''d need to stay within 20 metres of the chanter in order to make max use of his potential....I think Chanter needs to be pimped a little...

Can anyone tell how a max'd out Chanter is??? I mean based on your experiences in the Kor/Chinese versions atleast
I have no clue what a maxed Chanter is like (or just a Chanter for that matter), but their role isn't to deal tons of damage. If you wanna be like Rambo, you should probably roll a tank, or DPS.
Chanters are pretty good imo.
They arent built to do massive DPS, but they hold their own pretty fine.
Outlasters would be the first word that comes to mind.
Not only that, they are brilliant party members.
As for the range comment to recieve the chanter specific buffs: you want to stay close to healing classes anyway in order to either recieve healing or to be able to defend them where needed.
Ive spent hours with a Chanter buddy during Closed Beta and i was impressed.
Our team consisted of a Templar, Sorceress (me) and a Chanter.
No issues staying close to him for buffs/heals and as healer, he still delivered decent DMG additions.
Maybe its just my views on Chanters, but i think theyre pretty cool and very decent.
I think you need to learn more about the game before you start posting incoherant rants about it.

So, you want to be rambo in PvP? Roll a ranger.
From your vapid post, I'm guessing the "pew pew pew pew pew" would appeal to you and they are also OP.

Well here's your problem. You're believing random people on the interwebz over your own interests!
Trying playing the class yourself. Maybe you can do better than they could?

Chanters dont do a ton of damage, their role is to buff (I cant remember if they are offensive or defensive) and to be a back up healer. My friend played one and I was an assassin. He was able to kill me because of his endless mp and ability to heal himself. I wouldnt put them aside because they arent the top dps class. They can hold their own from what I can see.
It doesn't matter that "reality implies that you'd find more wanna be RAMBOs ingame than team players". Even if that were true, it certainly doesn't mean that every class should be designed to cater to them. Many people like to group and many of those like to play support roles in those groups. The wanna be Rambos can pick another class and go play by themselves in a corner somewhere.
Too bad the gaming world has so many corners filled.
Any class that has the ability to heal themselves usually doesn't hit the top of the DPS charts if only for the reason that they have a big plus in the ability to outlast others. Chanters have good DPS, Its not OMGWTFBBQLAZERKITTY Dps but its enough to take out many classes 1 on 1 just because they can heal themselves. In groups they are for buff love , Secondary heals and some DPS and they do it well.
