Honestly don't feel that bad, i tried to test this game and it was honestly one of the worst testing experiences i have had to date... and i couldn't even make it into game. I crashed 27 times in a row (crash or lock up) only 1 time making it "into" game where i started to hear a cut scene where it crashed to desktop. My system is a beast and i know its not that, it's just that the game is broken to all hell currently.

People that complain about technical problems while in a beta really arnt "betasmart" enough to contribute anything positive in the first place and just shouldnt be there.  Most people that post stuff like you  participate in betas cause their bored MMO addicts.  You clearly have no concept of what betas are, and who should and should not be participating.  My advice to you is gracefully bow out of the beta business since you clearly dont get it.

I'm not sure you are capable of understanding the fact, he could not even get into the game to test it.

I'm not sure you are capable of understanding the fact, one of the issues for EVERY CLOSED BETA is that LOGIN ISSUES are PART OF THE EXPERIENCE. His point was that you can't claim you had one of the "worst testing experiences" if you don't realize part of that experience is: LOGIN ISSUES. Those are part of the technical problems that were mentioned. You report it via channels that are available to you, and you either wait until you get a response, it gets patched, there is an open beta, or the game launches. Yes, posting here in frustration is fine, but Alderdale's other point was that it doesn't help the developers of Alganon make their game better.

Aye its a bit harsh to say "worst testing experiance" when all you seen were login issues.

I've had no problems at all logging in personally. Problem finding is what you signed up for, thats the whole point of beta after all. Sorry you've had issues logging into the game. I'm hoping you posted them on the beta boards and tried to get assistance there?

The problem is that people want to beta test to try out a game instead of doing what is asked of them and helping the developer fix bugs while getting to see the game earlier than everyone else.

Your reward is simply being able to experience it first. You were asked to help them test it, not just get a free trial to a game.

Look at all the preachers preaching about how being in a beta is a god-given gift.

Its not a gift at all.

Its not a "free trial" either though.

When your in a beta (i've done a few) your there to help find problems and report them. You "expect" problems with any beta you participate in, thats the reason you are there. Your not there to play for free and mess around. The Dev's want (and expect) feedback from you in the form of bug reports and forum input. If your not doing that then your a waste of a beta slot and need removed IMO.

The bottom line is that the beta testers are supposed to sux up the issues in order for the game to be released in a more stable state with more polish. In return beta testers get to experiance the "new world" first. If you cant handle dealing with bugs then Closed beta's are not for you and you should not apply. Wait for the Open beta and server stress test when things are about ready to go before you bother if thats your prefrence.

Thing about Closed beta's is numbers are small, servers are not set to handle massive loads and bandwidth is generally limited. Getting into a close beta is a crap shoot at best. Dont take it personally because you dont get in right away. I've done a fair few betas and still concider myself lucky for any that I can squeeze into. There are FAR more people willing to do beta's than there are places available.

God given gift? Naw. Just the lucky ones.

Well said.  This is why they aren't going to do an open beta.  I'm in the closed beta and have been in many others.  I have experienced far worse problems with others.  The dev team here are quick to respond to serious issues and take the beta testing seriously.

I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.

Agreed.  While the game does have it's issues, it certainly isn't as bad a Vanguard: Saga of Heroes was during beta.

Why make that comparison? It is better than a disaster. That does not sound very well.
