Beta Tester Thoughts! EQ2.

Hello, I was recently a winner of the MMORPG.com beta giveaway (Thanks a ton BTW), Yes unfortunatley this is my reason for being absent from the boards for the last week or so (sorry) hehe. Anyways I thought I'd do my job and let you guys know what I think.
First of all, even after all the hype about the graphics and the screenshots I saw I must tell you I was absolutley blown away when I first entered the game. Fantastic art. Then came the tutorial which really doesnt feel like a tutorial, that was great too and everytime i make a new char i still go on the boat.
The gameplay, despite every post i read about people saying its not up to par i strongly disagree. I think they have came a long long way from the original Everquest. Playing a scout my first time out i quickly learned about skillchains and how effective they are while soloing, Its so exciting to see that lightening come down, well anyways on to the next topic.
Quest vary from collecting to delivery to killing stuff, granted some are boring but some are good and give great rewards for the level you can take them at. There are a TON of quests to keep anyone busy for a very very long time
Tradeskills in this game are the best ive ever seen it accually requires you to be awake and attentive sometimes even more exciting then battles. Took me a little while to figure them out after i almost died at the forge from daydreaming, but it was great fun.
I must say i am stunned that people think this game will be a flop, granted there are a few bugs that are being worked out. But thats the same as any game in beta. I gotta say overall i give this game on a scale of 1 to 10 an 11. I love it and im sure come november 9th most of you will too. Ever wonder why the people that talk bad about the game go into great details? why would they play so long if right from the start they hated the game?

Great reveiw! Yeah, I enjoy EQII also and it's the best MMORPG I played.
Sony Online Entertainment *is* evil. Even if people find it fun, when it comes down to it, EQ2 is a rehash game within the same backstory/world of the original EQ. They just added a few things to make it feel new. But I do feel a slight urge to play it. I still remember the days of reading the first preview of EQ in a game magazine and daydreaming all day about what I was going to be.
