yea i was under the impressiob the beta was free i mean after all i recieved a beta key and installed the client just never got around to starting it up since ive been playing aion
MMOG developers need to stop doing this and start doing large scale, free closed beta testing a lot earlier and for a lot longer prior to release, and they definitely need to stop using beta access as a pre-order promotion FFS...

I pre-ordered Champions and canceled it before the day it came out, so i could access the beta (if it was any good of I would of subbed). So I may do that to this game, it does look rather promising although I havn't read mcuh about it.
Is that a cash shop mmorpg or what? I noticed nearly all of these "F2P" mmorpgs go from closed beta to open beta to release in a couple months at most.

i honestly have no idea what this game is other then its an mmo the website doesnt really give any info and i had to be selected to beta test but thats what im saying i need to start this game up and see since i recieved the client 1 gig and i got a beta key so i have no idea why they would want me to buy a game that hasnt even been tested yet
No you have to pay for the client and it's listed as a P2P game...

Downloading the Client:
Once you have activated your beta code,
- sign in at MyAlganon.com
- click the "Beta" link
- follow the download instructions
Reporting bugs:
While you are playing the Alganon private beta please report any bugs, problems, and/or suggestions in one of the following ways:
- typing "/bug" into the game chat window
- selecting the "?" on the game action bar
- pressing the "Report Bug" button inside the Quest panel (press "L" to acces the quest panel).
Joining the Beta Forums:
(Note: The Alganon Community Forums are a separate sign up from MyAlganon.)
How do I join the beta forums?
- You will be granted access to the Beta Participants section of the forums if both of the following are true:
- a) The e-mail addresses you used to sign up for MyAlganon.com and the Alganon forums match (The Alganon forums are a seperate sign up from MyAlganon).
- b) You have validated your beta key on MyAlganon.com.
How long will it take?
- The automated process should take no longer than 5 minutes from the time,
- a) You entered your beta key after already having a forum account or,
- b) You create a new forum account after having entered your beta key on MyAlganon, which ever came last.
How will I know I have been granted access?
- You can tell if you been granted access by logging into your forum account. Once in your account you should now see a new forum section entitled "Beta Participants".

yea i know right and im still wondering does that mean i got to pay for it before i log in or what cuz this makes not a lick of sense tbh and thats may no longer work so i guess they are unsure?
