Buy Expansion or bloodbowl!

VaedurVaedur Member Posts: 430

Hey, i'm a lvl 30ish scout / 30ish crafting skill.. I'm a slow leveler, and a casual player..

Is there any reason to buy the expansion, or can i use my bi-monthly videogame purchase on bloodbowl and get the expansion a few months from now.. will i be locked out of pre-80's content w/o the expansion?

I would go with the expansion.  Don't think bloodbowl is even supposed to be any good.

you will have access to everything you got acces to now but you wont have access to anything that is in the expension.

so if you plan to start a new toon to be with all the other new player in the new starting area im sorry but you ll need the expension.

if it's a matter of two months, don't bother buying the expansion.  the new starting area (Halas) is not going to be in the expansion anymore (recently announced that it's pushed back), so there'll be nothing but battlegrounds for you.

Honestly, if you're level 30 and you're a slow leveler, there is tons and tons of content for you as it is.  When you get to 70ish, start thinking about buying the expac.  Until then, you have plenty to enjoy.

Blood Bowl is a decent game, still needs some work but it's pretty fun.

not cancelled, moved to the next live update after expac.  but honestly ,it's a joke, the game has like 10 starting areas as it is, it doesn't need more.

Having Halas will be nice as you'll have the potential for new players coming to the game and a whole new area for those players as well as existing players to start in. I'm coming back to play as I'm looking forward to the new expansion.

I'm not criticizing anyone's playstyle or anything, but you're telling me that you've already played through:

    Queen's Colony starting area

Overlord's whatever it's called now starting area

    Timorous Deep starting area

    Neriak starting area

    Greater Faydark starting area

I can understand if someone has like an addition to doing levels 1-20 over and over again, but really, a 6th full-scale starting area?

Not to mention that the whole idea is to get new people into the game by putting boxes on shelves and then getting new players to all start up together, which is totally wasted when you don't have that starting area ready for the expansion release, meaning that all this "new blood" that you get will already have started in the old areas by the time the new one is out...

It's a complete and utter waste of resources.  Yes, there is a small minority of people that enjoy moving their house to a new city every time one comes out, but i think if you took any kind of census to find out how many people STILL live in Kelthin or Timorous Deep or Maj'Dul, you'd find that those areas are now quite abandoned.
