Technical help, Game chash at start

in Dungeons & Dragons Online

dndclient has detected a problem and has to close

AppName: dndclient.exe AppVer: 1.11.0.8122 ModName: binkw32.dll

ModVer: 1.8.18.0 Offset: 000107c7

I have this problems

The game chash after loggin and pick world server, just before the start video begins.

And give the above message.

Please help.

I post this here cause i couldn't in the official forum.

    Are you running the Turbine Download manager?

     Yes I am, is there some kind of a path for this game? I would't like to re install it.

    same kinda issue with me too funny thing is i have lotro as well and it plays fine dnd did the first time i installed ran it made a toon played a bit then logged out for the night next day nothing just that error when i try to run it

    all i did was uninstall and havent looked back since

    I can't pay to play lotro so I would really like to play ddo cause it seems to be the best free to play mmorpg right now. 

    Do you think there's another F2P as good as this one?

     I don't know if this is your problem or not but the one I had when I first tried to run it was it asked at my first startup if it should use DirectX10 and I said yes. It crashed every time. I went in the config file and set that to no and it started right up. Then I could turn it on from the options in the game and it never had a problem again. As I said, it may not be your issue, but it is worth checking if you told it yes to DirectX10.

    The download manager is really bad. No one I know has used it with any luck.

    I think it has to be that too 

    My google chrome always crash too when I'm using it, i'll have to delete it and download it again

     

    I'll play Aika in the meanwhile or however you write that.

    i used it just fine actually it downloads as you play it worked fine the first time i ran it and my card is the nvidia 7900 gtx

    Ran a quick yahoo search for ya on the DLL file that's giving you issues and found this:

    In a nutshell sometimes this file appears to get corrupt during download or installation and that a re-install should fix the issue.

    I realize thats not much to run with, but Id try a re-install before playing with your drivers etc.
