Is the grind tolerable if I macro for a week?

If I do nothing but macro my skills for one or two weeks, what will my skills look like?

If you find the right clan to macro with and have enough funding you might be able to max out a class or two. Getting money will be hard though. Just play the game and eventually before you know it you'll be dropping people left and right.

You are not going to be competitive with a week of grinding.

its an mmorpg, its pretty obvious you can´t scale up with everyone in 1/2 weeks...

    Agreed.

To be competitive there are almost two dozen skills/spells you need.  Nevermind the almost 100,000 gold you will spend, the time alone to macro them to average level would take more than 1 month  ( 500+ hours).

Also take into account you may get reported and banned....

Macro'ing isn't tolerated anymore like it was back at launch.

You don't need 24 skills leveled to be good, like maybe 12

Though i do love the world they made, it seems there is no way to catch up.  I work from home so all week i grind trees and metal while i work.  I understand there are no stat caps, which would explain how i cant scratch most people that gank me...  i sure can toast thier mounts though.  That makes me happy :)

Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.

you dont need headlights, a windshield or doors to drive a car either, right? lol!
but seriously i dont really know how many skills you need. It just sounds like you are probably telling them the BARE minimum that they could use to kill gatherers or something and not much else.

i think stats cap at 100, someone said something about it in the in-game chat but i cant remember exactly. i do know that there is a cap.

My Darkfall character was stuck in RED alignment until I killed enough people AFK hitting trees and rocks. Darkfall is hardcore

No, the best PvPers in the game use 1 bar of skill + 5-10 extra skills. Transfers, 2r90s, 2r 50s, witches brew, blind, wall of force (not required), hasten spells (I don't think you need it honestly), and some buffs is what most people use.

There is a cap,  you can catch up, etc. People feel they can't catch up because dumb people tell them they need to have every single skill in the game leveled, even skill that aren't used in 99% of situations.

I agree its so funny still people wanne macro in this game but in end still losing haha.

    Macro= Losing period!

Make sure you get skill by handle your character very well in every espect of the game nomatter how low your skill still is you eventually will win battles and come on top.

And if you think macro is needed to avoid grind then my friend you will never have fun becouse as so many who macro dont know how to enjoy and have fun in games like Darkfall macro is for losers.

    Games played:AC1-Darktide'99-2000-AC2-Darktide/dawnsong2003-2005,Lineage2-2005-2006 and now Darkfall-2009.....
In between WoW few months AoC few months and some f2p also all very short few weeks.
