One of the reasons they went B2P is so they can sell it in retail shops. Once they have finished releasing all of the Sandstorm update they will have a big marketing push and the game should be available in shops.
Good move, it's what I voted for in their recent questionaire. My only concern is that the chunks of 'content' represent reasonable value for money. I thought the original release was a bit 'lite'.
