I finally found my lost account I created 4yrs ago back in 2006, and I created two characters but I quit the game after the first week because I was mad I wasn't able to control my ship freely. There has been two characters being inactive for 4yrs and I know inactive account still considered active and gain pts overtime, and I'm wondering will it benefit me if I played my 1 week old character that has been sitting in the dust for 4yrs? I want to become a perfect pirate in this game!!!

Well you won't have tons of skillpoints racked up waiting for you to spend if that's what you were thinking. But you may have some skills trained that you wouldn't have to retrain by starting over completely.
yea, I was wondering about the skillpoint racking up. I thought the skillpoints continue racking up while your account was inactive but nvm I guess you've to be subscribed.
Offline training was nixed a while back, however, you still had to have a skill in training even when it was live, so as soon as the skill you had training when you unsubbed ended your skilling ended on that account.
If its a low sp char that you've found you might want to consider making a fresh one, theres a double sp bonus for new chars up to 1.6 million sp's, the tutorial missions are recomended as are the follow on missions, you get loads of free skills and some free ships too.
F2P/P2P excellent thread.

No, you didn't need to be subscibed until last year to train gain skillpoints, but you were required to start training, what you didn't.
If you like to start again, just do it and don't think about it tho or create a new account and look for the 14 days of trial-time, if you're really interested.
Nothing constructive or informative to add, just wanted to say welcome back to New Eden.

Thanks a lot guys, I'll just start over w/ a new character and read about setting up the perfect pirate character & race. I don't like the name of my character and it's best to start over to gain new SP. I'll be resub tonight and fool around for 1 week then possibly join a corp.
