"Q34: What type of quests are in Blade & Soul?
Bae: Goals and scenario make up the quests. Many MMORPGs have “vending-machine” quests: “kill X number of mobs.” This is boring. Blade & Soul will resolve the problem of “I want to follow the story line, but why am I talking to this vending machine.” I want the game to overcome that limitation. It’s one of the topics of discussion within the team."

I think Blade & Soul looks amazazing but you have to realise that all the devs. today are promising to overcome the old school questing method.Seeing is believing and i hope they come trough.
I think it looks terrible, and even worse the fact that they announced it 3-4 years ago and we still haven't seen an actual gameplay video, just scripted/heavily edited trailers.
I dont know about you, but I saw gameplay footage in that trailer at many different times.
Also this could be the biggest grind game ever and I think id still play it because its different, thats all it takes for me to be interested. Something that doesnt follow the normal mmo combat system (aka just stand there and hit each other back and forth) is what im looking for. (also doesnt hurt that one of my favorite artist has a huge hand in the game)
I also dont think every mmo should stray from a proven system that has been laid by the founding mmorpgs as it can also be very enjoyable and tactical if done right, Its just nice to see some games take a path that isnt proven and try to bring people that normal want more action into the genre and see why we love and enjoy a wide range of mmo's
Pretty graphics, check. Effeminate-looking men and adolescent-looking women, check. Overlarge weapons, short mini-skirts with underwear showing and ridiculously embellished armour, check. "He-yaaa" type combat with unrealistic speeds, flashy moves and multi-coloured special effects lighting, check. Yep, same old same old by the look of it.
Plus - come on! - it's NCSOFT!
None of those are good signs.
Can you please post a link to some video that shows a person controlling the character, with a UI and things like that? I have not seen one.
