When APB first came out it was a shining gem in the muck. Later, it deteriorated into a cesspool of people ganking their own side with garbage trucks. That's when I realized the game was falling apart. When people starting griefing their own side.

I do not know you guys, have you done the FF game OB? If you think APB had issues try that one
what is beta?
RealTime Worlds should have pondered that question as well.
-Letting Derek Smart work on your game is like letting Osama bin Laden work in the White House. Something will burn.- -And on the 8th day, man created God.-
What ticked me off the most about this game, was that you RARELY, got into matches that were a fair fight. The whole system of threat was a novel idea, but ended up being a huge part of the downfall of the game.
In theory, threat could have worked. However, they SHOULD have prevented people with NO UPGRADES from fighting people loaded up on 3x rank 3 character / weapon upgrades. What's the point in playing a PVP game if you NEVER get into a fair fight? Just run around and die all the time?
RTW wanted to create an environment based around grief. This is what happens when you create an environment centered around grief. Companies usually want to avoid this situation, which is why they create protective rulesets - why they make everything like WoW... So all you twits out there who whine about everything being like WoW, this is why things are the way they are, because most people don't like playing a game where a few ass hats can go around annoying the hell out of them.
Unbalanced weapons, unbalanced weapons, unbalanced weapons, lack of banning/suspending cheaters, bad driving physics, problems with latency... a shining example of how NOT to handle an mmog.
I liked this game early on, I really did have hope for it. Working/going on vacation, playing other games kept me well behind the curve... and so constantly getting into missions where I was in a PUG against people 200 ranks higher than me who were all part of the same clan, who were all using Ntecs, who all had 3x rank 3 upgrades, got @#$^ing old. FAST.
They wanted to fix things, but never wanted to reduce the griefing. IMO, this is what did APB in. People aren't going to pay a monthly fee to PLAY a GAME where they constantly get griefed.
The greatest satisfaction I have from this game is that I sold a few hundred thousand APB$, so all those suckers who paid to win, have nothing to show for all the money they spent on RTW points. GG. Thanks for letting me play for 2 months for free.
Now, someone go drive a stake into its heart and chop its head off. Let's make sure it's not coming back.

Actually, it was pretty bad even before it was released. They didn't really do much to change it.

screw you APB
had good customization options but the gameplay was sh*t
It's too bad. This game had great potential. How the fuck does a game go down in only 3 months? Why did they even bother releasing it?

Wow i fucking wasted my money. It was like what 2 months? Holy shit I didn't even know they were having a problem.
