but im jut wondering how long does it take it feels like for ever and a half.its hard not to get bored cause missions are

riddiculously stupid and not fun at all mining i would do but its kinda a waste of time if your not in 0.0 or a worm hole mining

Maybe the game's not for you? I'm not trying to be an ass, but it sounds like you don't like many aspects of the game, you just want some quick action? Both Jumpgate Evolution and Black Prophecy might be more up your alley, but neither is out yet.

    Current: None
Played: WoW, CoX, SWG, LotRO, EVE, AoC, VG, CO, Ryzom, DF, WAR
Tried: Lineage2, Dofus, EQ2, CoS, FE, UO, Wurm, Wakfu
Future: The Repopulation, ArcheAge, Black Desert, EQN

I'd do these 4 things to both get to the fun parts of the game, and to make sure you don't lose interest until then:

    - Find a good corp you enjoy that feels like home. Have a high standard. If you join one and it sucks, then quit and look for another.

    - Don't bother with missions or mining if they bore you to tears. They are boring as fuck and that's a quick way to lose interest in the game. Make sure the corp you join operates in an area of space that is fun - low sec, wh space, or 0.0. Lots of fun can be had by playing in these zones.

    - Don't force yourself to play if you have nothing to do. Your skillpoints will still be training. It's better to not get burnt out if it means more fun down the road, so don't do boring stuff. In a sandbox you have to make your own fun, so don't be afraid to log off and wait for a better day.

    - Try some of the other aspects of the game solo or with your corp mates - wars, market trading (boorrring but $$$), random and pirating (not for cash but for fun), drug making, and so on.

Vendetta Online might be a good match for you. You can get into the PvP much faster i think.

I agree with Jimmac. But I insanely agree with what is in red. Being a part of a good corp completely changes the entire EVE experience. Go out of your way to make this happen more than anything else.

You have to search around on the forums. Ask around. Be neighborly in general. They used to have some corp called EVE academy or something. People could fill out a form and they would help beginners get into the game.

If you like action, a pirate corp might be right for you. Their sole purpose seems to be wrecking other people's day. This leads to more action more often.

I don't know, you just have to shop around.

This is a tough question, because for the longest time, I didn't realize that there were even corps that could really be as fun as some of them can be. I resubbed to eve pretty much because I missed playing with my corpmates. Like I said, have a really high standard and find some people who really got their act together, who you like, who like you, and who do shit that is fun. The search can take a while but it definitely pays off once you realize how fun the game can actually be.

Try joining Eve University to learn about the game as a whole, learn what suits you in the way of making isk, then do some of the Agony classes (or join Agony directly) to learn about the PvP side in greater depth.
