But where are the 20 quests telling me what to do!? How will I know to go to a new area if there isn't a quest telling me its ok to level there now?
Where are the NPC's that need me to kill 20-30 mobs "for great vengeance." Now there is some epic story right there! Oooo and another quest that wants me to collect 20-30 pieces of stuff to help supply his X army! Soooo epic! And these quests can't possibly be a time sync, I'm having so much fun battling de monsters to reclaim X faction's homeland! It can't be a time sync, no way! That one and only endgame raid that requires 20 hours of farming to even get into can wait because I'm having a blast helping my faction.
Where are the easily loaded graphics at? How can I play a game that doesn't have cartoony graphics that give zero lag to even a mediocre system? How am I supposed to play on a modern graphics engine that requires a system I don't have or can't afford?!
Why do people who group together get better rewards? There should be a 1 player version of that raid/quest! Everyone else just get in the way!
This game crashes too much! My other favorite MMO's never crashed this much at launch... Or do I even remember that at all because I was too young to get into MMO's when it first came out? For some reason I want THIS MMO to be a flawless launch even though there hasn't been one yet that I can recall that has been a flawless launch.
And I only play and like my favorite MMO now because if I ever quit it then it means I have accepted myself as a human being and not a toon on a game, which means all those people I have flamed and pissed off over the years are all real people with feelings too. Which means I'm a real asshole, who flamed people on a game about the right/wrong way to play for no other reason than ethical persuit of purity for something that doesn't even exist! The fact that I even have an ethics code for a game probably speaks volumes by itself! And if that's all true, and I've now accepted myself as a human and not a toon, than I'm going to get so depressed about the waist of life I have become, with no human dignity what-so-ever because the internet has turned me and all my peers into faceless toons for my amusement!!!
Or I could continue to flame people and whine about this game! WEEEE!!!

And this post is what happens when fanbois finally see how crappy this game is. Bad thing is most of the time they turn into this guy. Try not to hurt yourself, buddy.

Not sure how you even trolled that guy. From the first two sentences it was obvious your intent. Lol, good go, I guess. Caught one.

Different people react differently to wasting 80 dollars on a video game with no content, poorly optimized graphics, and a hellish user interface.
Some people just toss it in the garbage and go on with life.
Others make their complaints heard.
And some go into denial, blindly defending all of the game's faults, going so far as to completely dodge all issues and attempt to deflect criticism to another game of the same genre.
I'm merely pointing out that most of the people who have voiced their complaint about this game are one or more of the following:
-biased to their favorite MMO and can't see the blatant similarity between questing that requires to kill/gather things in one mmo and leve's in this mmo, yet complain about the leve's
-can't handle the extreme graphical requirements so very childishly hate what they cannot have/play without lag
-are complaining about being forced to group to get better rewards/progress, even though this is an MMO staple as the group always succeeds where the solo player fails
-doesn't realize that every MMO had crash issues at launch, and their "favorite" mmo also had these issues at launch but wasn't around for its launch because they were too young
-and finally, have extreme social disorder's involving being superior to other people and can't quit that which gives them their need to be superior, even if it isn't real, so will dislike any other game where they can't easily "win."
And inversely: that actual arguments against the game are few and far between and would be refreshing amongst all this garbage. What they have are just opinions, yet they try to form them into "reasons" and model them into arguments, even though it's just opinions shouting at opinions.
That's the issue I have with people. Issues with the game, well that's a different thread.

To be honest if I dont see a patch soon I will be unimpressed with SE. Apparently they chose to have all decisions go through their server or something before they show up on our screens and that is why we see a huge menu response lag. And their silence about working on it, may mean they only hope that scattering of populations into other zones will remedy this as zones populations lessen. - This is an MMO, we should not have to wait untill zones see shrinking population in order to be able to use our menus without horrible delay. Nor should we have to wait upwards of 30 seconds to see people load on our screen. And they shouldnt have to be in our immediate vacinity or else they are invisible. How is an mmo immersive if you can only see people 20 feet in front of you (game feet).
So far I am disapointed that they have not spoken to these issues. If they were honest with us and said. "Yes, we are experiencing difficulties and we are working on them." We would all be rest assured. But then we would question whether we ought to pay for our services, in continuing to test the game out. Why pay for extended beta. Which is why they are silent.
They better get their shit together.

I dont believe most go blind to its faults. It is just that we have played through the launch of SEVERAL MMO's and knew what to expect on launch. We know it has faults. I mean, I am real and know for a fact that games that have been released for 5+ years still have faults to this very day. It just pisses off the haters when someone defends the game. In most cases they are trying to piss the haters off just like the haters make threads to piss of the so called fanbois. It is funny and entertaining actually.
Well, all your complaints about the overwhelmingly negative reviews are pretty much based off this one.
For some reason you think WoW fanbois bought FF14. Why would they do that? I'm willing to bet WoW fanbois couldn't give two turds about FF14. They certainly aren't going to waste 50-80 dollars on a game they know they will hate.
There is no war between WoW fanbois and this game's fanbois. I know you want to think you're fighitng some great fight, but its only in your mind.
If you like the game that is great. Let's hear a review from you. Instead, the one overriding theme I get from people who claim to love this game is they love it, because they think WoW fanbois hate it. Who thinks like that? I don't base the enjoyment I get from a game off the proportion of people who hate it. I guess that is a goth/emo way of thinking, though.
I for one enjoy the game but feel no need to come to a forum and explain why. Why would I need to justify my fun to someone that I dont know? Especially when I already know people have their minds made up. What would be the point? I also will never come here to bitch and complain about a game either becasue I...I repeat...I dont like it. I guess since I dont like it everyone doesnt. I guess this is the immature/childish way of thinking, though.
Since you brought up WoW. I havent played in for over 4 years. I only played for the free month because I didnt like it. On that same note I didnt come here to write my review because I thought the millions that do like it cared what the hell I thought.
Wasn't there another pointless thread just like this, with the same unoriginal, sarcastic wit, a few days ago? Did we really need another one? Does it server any beneficial purpose whatsoever? No. Should it be locked for being a baited troll? Yes, and I hope it is.
Really OP, you're obviously one of the people around here who seem to truly adore the game; that's great. That being the case, why are you here making troll threads seemingly directed at anyone having issues with the game, some of which even being very much legitimate? I can understand coming here and correcting mis-information from people trolling the forums, but to make a thread like this is pretty much doing exactly what a troll does - adding nothing of any worth to the discussion just to try and get a rise out of people.
Some people have real, legitimate concerns with the game, and even if this thread wasn't directly targeted at them, it's still a huge waste of time, just like any other troll thread.

BTW, I don't care about your love, hatred, or neutrality for WoW. What gave you the idea that I was looking for you to explain to me why you like or dislike WoW?
What gave you the idea I was even talking to you? Did you make a similarly pointless thread like this? Did you previously imply that WoW fanbois actually bought this game, and are actively doing a smear campaign? That'd be some pretty sorry fanbois, and some totally bored people.
I get it. You won't come here to complain about a game. You will come here, and make totally off the wall remarks, tell me about your time in WoW, and confuse the living hell out of me. Well, sir, mission accomplished.
Did you notice that the OP didn't call once 'WoW? You did.
You are the one making all kinds of assumptions. He talked about 'favorite MMO", that could be any MMO that has questing, EQ2, EQ, WoW, LotrO, Aion etc.
His argument also isn't that strange, taking a look at the forumposts among them you will see that besides the obvious complaints about UI, lag etc, there are also complaints about how a number of features aren't like in other MMO's and aren't enjoyable, among them the leves. Whether you agree with the OP in this or not, that was the point he was trying to make, not what you were assuming he did.

Thanks for pointing out the obvious. I made it pretty clear that it was "in my opinion" several times. The other parts were actually based in fact, whether you want to believe it or not (all mmos having trouble at launch, the limited number of leves per day, game running poorly on beefy machines, etc).
Not sure why I'm explaining it anyway; it's obvious you didn't even read anything or you simply chose not to see it.
thats not how SE works.. They'll fix it and let you figure it out for yourself its fixed. Or you can read it in the patch notes.. get use to it
My machine runs it fine and it isnt to beefy, fact. I am not sure what beefy computer cant run it. That is terrible for them I guess. The leves are as intended. I am sure they will up them in the future. The only problem I have had with the game is the UI lag.
You saying it is obvious I didnt read anything, again...opinion.
