Release could be sooner than expected

With the way things are going, new AI, less memory leaks and better looking scenery (I hope) as of next patch, which should be today, I get a sneaking suspicion this game may be released far sooner than Q1 of 2011. That's when a GM has told me the game has been aimed for release anyway. Honestly as it stands I'd pay for it now or at the very least once the new AI is balanced and NIC flow is tweaked.

I'm not saying this games going to be finished any time soon, not by a long way, but as far as betas go this is going very well and the game is playable and is worth paying $15 a month for. Lots of alts around though so an expensive price will limit the number of alts which is a curse to industry. The client needs to be as stable as it was 6-9 months ago and perhaps with the option of better memory management and less GPU use when inside the terminal (I mean really, give us the option to turn off the pretty as well as turn it up).

So far there is a distinct lack of PvP due to Industry taking much longer than expected for most people. The next patch will stop a lot of half hearted PVP, such as teleporting away, using outposts for station-games and leaving the PVP island while PVP flagged which should give room for PvP between those that want it and those that want the rare mineral(s).

It's going well and keep up for the good work on development. To everyone else if you've never tried the game I honestly suggest giving it a try. The closed beta is accepting new registrations almost daily. 250Meg download that expands to 600+. No messy install, two files. Very nice. Portable and powerful. A few more client streamline attempts and this could be a very solid game.

    Open beta started Oct. 18th. Check it out for yourself. Awesome in my opinion from what I have seen so far. Very Eveish in UI look and gameplay mechanics. I strongly recommend dl beta and check it out if interested. If you dont liike the Eve mentality or are a Wow fanboi you probably wont like it. If you ever wanted to scamper about in a metallic spider with weapon turrets it is a must see. I give it a definate thumbs up!
