New preformance patch is going in tonight i think.

Game purchase is balancing on a knife edge at the moment.  But for £23.99 it might be worth buying for at least the free month.  ( Just spent more on probably 2 hours of standup :P)

How can it be so much cheaper from these place, 23.99 is like what, under 28 euro?

If I can get it for 28 euro im deffinately giving it a try, more reasonable than 50

    My life is a game!

I would be extremely wary of buying the game outside of places directly mentioned by, and in discussion with, Masthead Studios.

So far, the only official retail seller is Iceberg Interactive; digital version will be available through Earthrise's main website and select (soon to be named) distribution partners.

While I'm not saying those sites are illegitimate, I am cautioning you to be wary - and also be warned, these sites more than likely do not have the retail copies to sell yet. That price is filler and a way for them to pull orders in prior to them getting the actual copy of it.

    Have a secure day!

Plenty of retail/online stores take orders prior to receiving their actual copies. As for the pricing, that could very well be illegal, but I'd read the fine print on those sites before I comment further.

I didn't read into any of those sites, but am speaking off what ER Developers have stated in forums prior.

But iceberg is supplying other chains with the game, this is from the FAQ from iceberg on earthrises forum

Q: I want to buy the boxed version at my local game store,  not via a webshop. Is this possible at all?

A: Yes, if you live in the UK, Scandinavia or Benelux, Earthrise should be available at all good retailers around the official release date. Other territories will follow.

As I said, my warning was merely a warning; nothing more.

Several "cheaper" versions were popping up in the UK that were brought up on the main forums, only to be found out they weren't shipping until Feb 28th, and even that was an estimate.

So, just a heads up, mang.

Unless they wan't a lawsuit on their hands i highly doubt it. Two of the sites above state they deliver 'on or before release day'. I think Masthead is doing all they can to sell as many over-priced copies as they can, which is why they're so desperate to shift copies from this obscure 'iceberg interactive' for 49.99 euros, which no-one has ever heard of until now. I think its a con.

Whats clear to me is Earthrise is struggling to find the funds to setup deals with the likes of the big boys, GAME, Play, ShopTo, HMV, etc. Amazon is selling Earthrise for £39.99, i have never paid that much for a game in my life and don't plan to start with Earthrise, of all games.

I'd rather take a risk and order the game very cheap from one of the above retailers then pay an over-priced fee for a digital version from some obscure publishers website.

I don't own a console and never pay over £29.99 for a PC game.

Woah, you should never say things that you have no clue what you are talking about. You can't file a lawsuit unless they are false advertising or you never got the product. If you only get the CD and nothing else even then you can't file a lawsuit because you got the desired product.

Second MHS does not seem desperate at all.. Prices are made up purely by what the current market is like. $50 dollars for digital download is typical for an mmo, even single player games do this. No the 50EU is cause of VAT, some people might say that is unfair because the united states to be 50USD and USD is less then a euro but it is simple. US government in no shape or form supports VAT.  So if you have a problem with the price take it up with your government. If VAT did not exist I am 100% positive the game prices would not be 50EU.

BTW mind you AAA games are typically sold for 60USD. So I don't know what you guys are going on about..

It's not a full game? What it is a demo then? Yeah I'm pretty sure it's a full game though it may have some bugs etc at launch as ALL MMO's do and even ALL non MMO's, PC and console do these days...we'll patch it later.
