My great Free Trial experience & expectations for new players!!!

So the free trial begun soon two weeks ago. How has this affected Mortal Online?
Let’s start out with some background: I played the beta, got back before the trial started, and now we are in the trial period.
Downloading the client was no problems at all. I did a clean install just to be sure (I installed it on another computer a day ago as well, and it works really good and fast for me)!
So, I logged on with an old character to try to get him to a maxed out fighter. My first impressions since last time was really good, damn those graphics is nice (could not run on max due to my GPU card), but still, very fascinating! So I play and skill up and the only thing that bothered me back then was the prediction system since it was not that good. All the bugs that was annoying me before was erased, and it feels much smoother today (I can only imagine when ALL GUI is replaced with flash, ahhh…). Even though I was not new, the added tutors are a great help for new players! This will probably help some players out together with the Nave guide they started on YouTube. My home town used to be Fabernum, but I decided to move to the coast, so Meduli it is for now! This is a nice and friendly place to be (trial players, pick Meduli to start off at, and you will get a lot of help). It feels good that the population was higher than I left a long time ago, and the towns feels alive.
To sum things up (my experience): The patcher works like a charm with good speed. This combined with many flattened out bugs, better gui (in some parts), better AI (!) with cool Risar invasions and a much smoother game play did it for me! Now we are talking!
So what did the Free trial do to Mortal Online? Additional players (higher population) are of course great! The towns are very lively with guilds recruiting new players, experienced players (also MO counselors doing this which is a great service) are gathering new players to help them start out in the different areas such as crafting, fighting etc. Whatever you need to know, you can get help in game achieving it! I was afraid the free trial would get loads of kids in, but as for now, it is still very civilized and I enjoy helping/playing with new players!
So, IMO the free trial has been a great experience for the old players (me), and new players! The game will of course not fit all gamers, but most of the new ones I have talked to in game enjoy it the second they understand the mechanics. Since many is used to other games where your hand is held, you need to think outside the (sand)box or talk to more experienced players, and you understand how the games work very quick.
Regarding the server stability: It has improved a lot as stated in the MOFO even though there were some troubles at start of the trial, and one day last weekend or whenever it was. They are still taking it down sometimes to get it even more stable! For me I have not lost any game time, even though I read about the downtime in the forums!
So, to create your own opinion, ignore all the threads everywhere, and try the Free Trial (no cc needed) with open eyes, and you will see how the game is yourself!
For me (and many others) it is a great game, and we really enjoy playing it even though it is not as polished as WoW, Eve etc yet (some more time and it will be

But even if I am an old customer, the Free Trial has impact on me since it has an impact on the server!
Yes, I like the game, and yes I invite new players to try the Free Trial since I really enjoy them coming on board. So what is your point again?
Still, everything I said is valid and I am happy with it!

Its not the latest build and a bit bright (gamma), but otherwise a really good one for getting the PvP feeling in the game!
It's bright because people turn their gamma way up to be able to see at night without torches.

Is the server still going down every hour? To be honest after Feb 26, 27, and 28 I quit playing my trial all together because they could not keep the server up. I did like the game, but gave up playing due to server instability.
The server has been pretty good for most of this week. They seem to have gotten a handle on whatever the problem was that started about the same time the free trial did.
Hell hath no fury like an MMORPG player scorned.
Either that, or the population has dropped back down to manageable levels as trials expire and people leave.
In Meduli and Fabernum it seems to be at least the same population, so I think they got a nice fix for it

Funny how the server was patched and is now stable 15 days after the free-trial started. Either the above-statement of population dropping to numbers server can handle is true, or SV is incapable.
Either way it is really good that it is stable!
I was playing for an hour in and around Meduli today, and I have never seen that many players there as i did today! So I guess they have got a fix for the server to remain more stabile!
Really great to see that many players on! Only problem now is that there is a que to the bank lol

It's nice to hear the server is more stable... But unfortunately it just crashed when I logged in =(
Bah, sounds like it's still crashing pretty frequently. Not worth my time. I am already dealing with the damn Xsyon launch shenanigans
It never crash when I log in. May be my account is flagged Fanboy therefore the server don't crash. The server crashes when it does not like you. But I often log in at night, which is a littel irritating.
So even though the server is been known to crash a LOT, you manage to avoid every single one of them? Would you care to post what times you play so we can test this out? Tell us your schedule for the next week in game, so we can compare it to the official Server Status thread in one weeks time.
Otherwise I really no evidence at all for your claim, as the server goes down at all times of day and multiple times in the same day.
I do not crash either, I think I have crashed only went I set my settings way 2 high for my gpu. and server goes down much less and usually the server has a few restarts a day.
I don't play often and usually play less than 4 hours each time. I consider it normal that I should be able to avoid the time the server crash.
cirsyndic must have played much often than I am and have played much longer time to experience crash each time he logged in. I always considered myself fanboy of MO, now I have to admitt that I don't deserve the title. I have to give the title to cirsyndic. If he is not a MO fanboy I am certainly not one.
As for the "Offical status" thread. I think it can confirm my 4 hours lucky play time. Can you prove the opposite?
I barely got crashes either. There have been some manual take downs of the server to fix stuff, but that is no crash! For me they can take the server down to fix stuff, then it only gets better!
It is interesting that all the ones known for hating the game gets 10 crashes a day minimum, when it is stated on many places that is not the case!?
I do not say that there are no crashes at all, just that it is not as many as some claims since the last patches/fixes!
YOU presented a number 9. YOU make it sounds like the server crashes 9 times a day, every 2.5 hourse a day, every day. You should present proof for all your claims.
Could you please simply give us the evidence that the server crashes 9 time a day, that makes it impsssible to play more than 4 hours a day?
