played this game during 2003 when it was first out, yes, i was a pioneer. then left the game 6 months later.
now, after like 7 yrs, i am back !!!! but it was so much different.....during then, there was no such thing like lv 1 or lv 20. all you need to do is to master the class(swordman, creature handler, sniper...etc...)
so now like i need to level till 90? how long would it take? i am on 14 days trial now, should i even resubscribe? i loss my old toon by the way....have to start all over...

Thiers a years worth of content, leveling is a pain these days. Some can level a 90 in a week or two, thats if you got the mind blowing time. I personally woud rather go to the dentist than level in this game.
Just afk level an entertainer. With the last patch they are pretty much Tera Kasi now anyway and it only takes about a day.
I'd ask why spend all that time leveling a game with little population? Once you get to 90 then what? I'd recommend that you find another game, but if you enjoy the leveling aspect of it then you should go for it. Good luck.
the game is definitely dead since 2005
wait for TOR
Doing the 14 day trial for the fun of it. Classes have changed a lot since I last played but I am enjoying it so far. Will it last for me probaly not.
Starstrider server is pretty busy at least on tantooine it is. not sure what the other planets are like. It says it's a heavy pop server all the others are light to very light.
I can feel your anger. This game is defenseless. Take your weapon. Strike this game down with all of your hatred, and your journey towards towards the Dark Side will be complete.
SWG died the day they abandoned the sand box and went to a level based piece o crap.
hehe for me it died when they added Jedi. I was really against it. Now it does not matter to me since tha's a long time ago.
It's the only game I felt that lore mattered at that point. Now i don't care.

Star Wars Galaxies just doesn't offer anything new to the MMORPG genre and it never really feels much like Star Wars. Watch a group of brawlers running around hitting creatures with axes and sticks and you might never even guess it's a Star Wars game at all, unless you notice that one of them is a Wookiee. Galaxies promised us more than "Everquest in space," but doesn't deliver much more than the same old MMORPG grind with a few Star Wars characters thrown in for good measure. With all the planned patches and expansions, the game will almost certainly improve over the coming years, but as of right now, you'd have to be a Star Wars fanatic far beyond my level to truly get your money's worth out of this Galaxy.
That was the knife that started the bleeding.
