smile, nice group of games there, could I ask a few questions? I've been looking for a decent strategy for a bit, is railroad 3 that good, I remember playing what I think was the first one and thought it was okay but there were many others then (startegy game seem to have gone down in the ratings I think) and I played one of the zoo's or rolar coaster I think.
Anno 1404 how does it compare to say civ v (I also thought it was lacking from iv) is there enough thought and depth, I'd always liked the look of it but heard bad things.
Airline tyc evo, how does that compare to ralroad3, which would you buy first?
Metro going to give it a try, again always looked at it but for some reason something else always came first.
Thanks for reply if you get a chance to.

railroad tycoon 3 is a wonderful strategy game with alot of debth and content, be sure to get the one expansion it had too, its senarios are wonderful, the campaign is a blast, building rails during world war 2, during 1800s too, great selection of trains, industries to build or buy to improve your empire, most if not all scenarios are real life situations and there are futurastic ones too, and a bonus it still looks good graphics wise to this day.
as for anno 1404, its good, its for the empire building type, the military parts are abit lacking but thats not what this game is about, it doesnt compare much to civ V, its a diffrent game anno is about comerence and a having a large network of goods production, its a wonderful thing watching your ships go in their trade routes you set before and selling spices and buying tools or iron or the other tons of goods, you will have a large chain of production units from raw matterial to finished goods
another great game like this is tropico 2,3 in my opinion I love 2 better but 3 is good too, you will love it. wonderful strategy game, you play as a dictater on a carribean island you can pass edicts, put ppl in jail, fraud the presedential elections, your ppl are also factions whether religous or capitalists or nationalists,.. and all have jobs you set for them whether its in a power plant, tv station, radio station, hotel, five star hotel, bar, brothel, airport, the sky is the limit, you can do tourism, farming tobacco or wheat or sugar,.... it all depends on the conditions of the island and you know that by a nice chart that details all the conditions of your island and where to best farm this or that
you can also make cigarrettes, furnature, and any other industry and sell them, the game is huge
