Actually I cancelled my sub 2 weeks ago, and I'm logging in every 4 - 5 days for an hour [payed for 3 months upfront].
Im sitting there at lvl 50 with no desire to gring boring heroics, doing boring dailies and a bit of pvp. And even that [pvp] is boring for some reason.
Got new Mortal Kombat and Shift2 for X360 and installed Border Lands, Crimecraft and Guild Wars on PC - having a blast in this games
Maybe will play more RIFT after that patch with LFG tool, coz now can't force myself to spam chat with "lfg tank or healer" anymore [sometimes for frikkin 1h+].
I know exactly what you mean, I'm so bored I'm thinking of picking up a digital copy right now.
I know the flaws when I beta tested it but somehow I'm convincing myself it will be great for a month or two...I'm also a bit drunk maybe thats not helping....who knows anything can happen when I'm drunk!!! Maybe I'm lifetime sub to CO!!!!!...actually I'm not that bad :P
No way am I ever giving trion more money,as polished as this game was , such a snooze fest, I figure more i support games with this boring combat and hand holding quests the more of them they will make. I want a MMO with skyrim graphics and a challenge.
I really wanted to like AOC but I struggled with it. Think I just wanted an open world and more of the Tortage fun, it got stale afterwards. GW dam you hit cap quickly but the game was fun, without the need for grinding levels.
i actually checked the other day to see if its still doing OK, so i went to the main town in the nightfall expansion and HOLY COW was there a lot of activity. Tons of people buying and trading stuff and probably like 6 active districts all pretty full or close to it. I suggest you start up on your Hall of Monuments achievements so you can get all the reward goodies ready for you when gw2 launches. the last time i played it was around january and there was still a ton of people playing, i had no problem finding parties for those endgame instances (for the margonite weapons) .
that said, i'm still playing rift and relatively happy with it.
Most memorable games: AoC(Tryanny PvP), RIFT, GW, GW2, Ragnarok Online, Aion, FFXI, FFXIV, Secret World, League of Legends (Silver II rank)
ho ho, how I jest... but GW, the problem is I imagine the pvp is active but the latter parts of the game (which are hardwork with the npcs (or at least were)) (too many brackets) may be dead. Rift is purely a way to waste my time when I should be writing that novel I always said I would.
Playing: Darkfall New Dawn (and planning to play Fallout 76) Favourite games have included: UO, Lineage2, Darkfall, Lotro, Baldur's Gate, SSX, FF7 and yes the original Wizardry on an Apple IIe
Full loot pvp without the need to have the latest PC.
The ability to lose yourself for a few hours in customing your home ingame. Editable books you can write in and leave on a table in your home.
The kids have moved on to better looking games.

This is so odd...I was thinking thte same thing but didn't want to say anything. I'm considering starting it up again as well. I'm in the mood for some oldschool sandbox "hangout" fun this weekend and no grinding.

I played the beta and I'm sure it could hold my attention for a bit, but I am currently playing wow waiting for GW2 to come out so to switch to a game that IMO feels very much like the game I'm already playing, have invested time/money in just doesnt seem worth it to me, if I did not buy cata I would prolly be playing rift til gw2 though.
I played the game during beta and purchased the game to give it a one month try and for someone currently playing wow and someone that has played WAR and Aion, the game feels like a mash up of all of them. What I am not enjoying is the grinding on quests, seriously who the hell loves griding on a quest, maybe in a group of ppl I could probably care less, but MMO's are pushing away from this. I've just completed the first zone area and hopefully now that i'm in a new zone and my toon is in his 20's, maybe the game will not feel the same, but I do have a feeling it's just going to repeat the same thing over and over again.
I have yet to do a dungeon and the Rift events are alright, but most of the time I'm usually just doing them by myself, which doesn't make them as much fun as when I was in the Beta and there were 20 to 30 plus ppl doing a Rift event with me.
Wildstar (2013) & Elder Scroll Online (2013)
Playing: Diablo 3, WOW, Far Cry 3 & X-Com.
Enjoyed: WOW 5 1/2 yrs, LOTRO 3yrs, GW 1/2yr, DFO 1yr, EVE Online 3yrs, and Huxley (Beta).
Failed to impress: GW2 3months, Tera Online 6 months (best combat system in any MMO I've played) STO 1/4yr, Aion 1/2yr, AoC 1yr, CO, Fallen Earth, DDO, EQ2 1/2yr, WAR 1/2yr, Lineage 2 and FF XI 1/2yr, FF XIV.
79, The true killer for me has been underpopulated servers and no effort to merge them. They are so shitting scared of bad publicity they are running scared from merging, which is killing the game. Well morons are as morons act.
I dunno what server your on but most are medium in the afternoons and go to up to high during the day my current server has a que every night. As for stale questing yea its about the same as everywhere else but at least they made an effort to have interactions and scripited events during the quests. Im currenlty lvl 29 and enjoy playing it (althought I only can for about 5-10 hrs a week) I think its a solid game, is it one I don't think will eventually get borning; no but looking at the rest of the market it ranks well in my book.

not resubbing, waiting till May 25th and give AION another chance.
I'm dipping back into Age of Conan. I'm just so lost since I haven't played for a couple of years.
GW feels active enought for me Funny thing is I didn't like it when I played GW years ago, but now it feels like a great, solid game, huh.

I am half sold and half thinking, I spent too much on my comp to put up with crap graphics. Unsure.

I will likely be unsubscribing soon. I havent had any fun since the 1.1 patch. The upcoming 1.2 patch looks even worse.
The truth is it is just dull, it is dull from about 30 onwards, which is an awful idictment but is true.

I can only judge it by my own and your comment sounds like fantasy.
