Best server population

in Rift

I'm thinking of re-subbing and bringing a friend into the game with me with the Father's Day sale. I will roll a new toon with my friend. We haven't decided on faction yet.

Can anyone tell me the most active PVE and PVP servers?

Also, we will be playing on Oceanic time, so if there is a server that is active with players from Australia, New Zealand and East Asia, that would be best for us.

    braircliff has HUGE pop on both sides

    play on that server for 1 day and pick any random medium pop shard and you will be like "wtf?! is this server dead?" asking yourself that over and over...its a HUHGE differance ...braircliff and i think the other is deepstrike  2 GREAT servers both pvp shards but there is alot of pve going on as well..for pve i think the shard is called wolfsbane or something like that..hope it hlps see ya around!

    As others have said, Briarcliff for pvp, for pve however, look no further then Wolfsbane, always people on around the clock, just hope you don't mind a queue.

    Yeah I actually re rolled on Briarcliff because of the population. Queues are occasiaonal but it's easy to find groups for things so I don't mind it much. We'll see how populations begins to settle out after wednesday with the release of 1.3 and server transfers.

    Wolfbane is the unofficial oceanic server, but its PvE. The population is so high that at peak America weekend traffic, you can experience up to 1 hour waiting time :P Thats around afternoon in Australia

    I have my "main" on Silkweb (level 35 defiant) but since I can't transfer from there to Wolfbane or Briarcliff, I will just roll again with my friend.

    Guardian on Briarcliff.

    Defiant (maybe also Guardian) on Wolfbane.

    We can experience both types of server and see which is best for us.
