Agreed. Just one thing tho: threads cannot be stupid, people are.
Someone's bound to say this, so it might as well be me. But if you didn't care, then why make this thread?
If they have no value for you, just skip the threads the reference the cancellation of SWTOR. Thats what I do... except, it is a guilty little pleasure of mine to look in a see what people are complaining about and those that are defending the game. tee heee ... don't tell anyone.

Well someone is bound to answer this question too, so it might be as well me: Because stupidity must be countered anytime and everywhere.
It doesn't matter that much really. If you look at the threads with polls, where people can't repeatedly enter votes, the overwhelming majority of people are in the 'I Like SWToR' camp. The number of people who like the game, but don't post far exceed the number of people who don't like it and post about it.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
Mainly becasue everyday I see tons of new threads saying if they are or aren't joining, after a while its like.... ok enough I've seen your thread in 1000 other threads...
Don't fret, only a month or two until 4/5 threads on the front page aren't about swtor. Expect more i pre-ordered threads. Then theres gona be early launch threads, then launch threads, then the battle of the "i told you this game sucks" vs " no, this is the most perfect game of all time" threads, then hopefully it will die down after a couple weeks of that.
This is not just about ToR, it's a statement against the heavily increased egoism that comes with internet anonymity. Seeing so many threads with the same subject matter is like seeing penis growth pills adverts. in your INBOX (not spam/junk) many times but from different senders.

Honestly you know the MMORPG threads are very critical of mainstream MMOs, obviously the threads bothered you enough to post, so just don't read them and then you can "not care" in peace.
... and I dont care if you dont care that the OP dont care...
You forgot the 'Whats gonna be the SWTOR killer' threads or the SWTOR 'has ruined the genre thread' or the 'I told you they would lose subscriptions' threads. Much of these choices will depend on how successful the game is. Not says beginning the bashing like a game that does well.

Sheesh, have some mental fortitude. If you have already made your decision and nothing is going to change your mind no matter what, then these threads should just slide off your back.
hmm. my ego doesn't come from being anonymous. It comes from 12 years and 10000+ hours of playing MMOs. :P
And at the end of the day if you feel that the MMORPG forums are nothing more than ego spam, then you can stop reading them.
So what exactly are you doing on these forums if you dont care for other people's opinions?
Locking this up. If you don't care about those threads, please avoid them. If they become very numerous, we'll take a look and see if anything should be done.
