This is an interesting survey that was realized on the official forums.

lots of nice stuff like:

Which faction do you intend to join? 

Templar = 31.80%

Dragon = 30.00%

Illuminati = 29.60%

Undecided = 8.60%

or

What is your current age?



Under 18 = 6.20%

18 to 25 = 33.60%

26 to 30 = 18.00%

31 to 35 = 13.80%

36 to 40 = 11.00%

Over 40 = 17.40% 

 

so I think it is worthy to take a look...

    I really was expecting the Templars to be the underdog here. Always thought religious fanatics were a little less popular. But im glad to see how factions look fairly even. If it stays that way, world PvP is gonna be pretty interesting...

    100% agreed nothing is worse then when you're faction is the smallest and gets the crap beaten out of it due to zerg.

    I don't know why, but I thought the Illumanati would be the most popular? Maybe because it is the most prominent in today's culture (movies/games/books) than the other two. Nice results though.

    as a rough guess from the TSW official forums

     

    while Iluminati might be smallest faction, it has the most PVPers

     

    there are also regional diffferences,

    Illuminati is higher and dragon lower in north america

    templar is higher in europe

    templar is lower in australasia.

    Considering Templars are not about religion, as explained many times by the devs, it's more like your perception of them needs some adjustment.  However the zealot warmonger with the idea their way is the righteous one... i thought it wouldn't be as popular.  However, it's good to see the factions are quite balanced (according to that poll)

    Well, I"m agnostic by belief but i fully intend on playing a Templar. It's more about embodying a certain set of "high ideals".

    Also, it is a role playing game so I"m sure people are attracted to the gestalt of the society in an acting sort of way over actually being "religous fanatics".

    I wonder how many replied "over 18" years just because they thought they would be blocked from the website/game otherwise?

     

    What rating is this game aiming for? Age of Conan got 18+ (A) because it had boobies. This game has horror elements, scary stuff and probably mutilated people and I'm guessing it'll be 16+ (M). Only in America is it ok to see people exploding in a bloody mess but bare breasts are a strict no-no.

    Probably 15 in the UK, 16 in usa and most of Europe, 18 in Germany and Australia where there a bit tougher on violent games

    It's actually nicely evened out. Let's say we use a nice round number like; 1000 players

    I=296

    D=300

    T=318

    Undecided=86

    As far as how the age/maturity/experience group fit's in these numbers will truly determine who will reign supreme. 

    I hope its about this at launch.

    I'm not sure how useful that poll is, last i checked the disparity between factions was rather large...The facebook poll on The Secret Worlds page is 1900ish/1900ish/1200ish(templar)

    I know I personally have stopped following the game till beta, and I'm guessing a large number of interested players have also.

    can you give a link to this facebook pool? there are a lot of polls around the net, and all of then looks like 3X% / 3X% / 3X%...
