I think I actually spent way more time reading and theorycrafting about MMOs than playing them
So you want to say that you dislike a game solely based on the existence of elf-like creatures? Seems legit.
But some of us look for a nice gaming experience rather than just care about looks, nevertheless GW2 is rather stylized and does not look like your average fantasy mmo.

If setting is that much more important to you than lore and gameplay, I'm glad you won't be playing.

People need not worry, no one's favorite game is going to get crushed. There is enough room for all MMOS and players that enjoy it. OP grow up.

There are, of course, trolls all over the internet. But of late, they seem particularly bad on this site...
I, for one, love SWTOR (unpopular to say so around here, I know) but am also extremely excited about GW2. Nice to be able to play both and only have one sub fee.
Why people just cannot be happy with their own game, or happy that someone else might enjoy a different game, I will never get. There are philosophy and religious sites with less arguing than this place...
I fail to see the connection between elves and the Sylvari. And yes, I find the movements of the Charr to be very feminine. Also, a 9 foot hairy Norn really does have mesmerising hip movements.
I prefer elves to blue and green humans.
Such a refreshing comment. I also play swtor but cannot wait to play guild wars 2 when it comes out. im a fan of the mmo genre not one particular game.

So glad we have such objective viewpoints on this forum lately. I'd suggest to the OP that he go play SWTOR instead of trolling, but then...that's probably why he's here.

Mmmm Guild Wars is a 100% fabricated universe with races specific mostly to guild wars. It is a fantasy like game though. Yes if you don't like fantasy of any kind then I guess stay away. The Secret World is coming, World of Darkness is coming. I am excited about them. You can be too without hating on a single purchase non sub game for apparently no reason?

There is nothing wrong with a gamer playing multiple games at the same time. All MMOs can co-exist, believe it or not. I will continue to play WoW/LOTRO/EQ2/SWTOR when GW2 comes out. Maybe even TSW.
I enjoy each of them for different reasons and I would like them all have a stable player base.
