Yup... let the kids stay with wow, let the grown ups move to gw2

I don't know... WoW must be the secret of eternal youth because I keep hearing that 12yo statement since 2005 image

The expansion is about exploration. Not sure it is putting anything back in anything.

WoW needs to stop making these 10-20man bullcrap and go back to the large raids with 40man groups and where guilds actually mean something.

That's one facet of it, yes. But believe me: all we were told the entire time during the recent press event was how they were going to bring back the fighting between the two sides. They couldn't tell us specifics on how, other than the story will have ships from both Horde and Alliance arriving on the beachead with the first major patch post Pandaria's launch.

It may be too little too late, In reference to putting the "War" back in.

That train has left the station I think. They should have kept more Warcraft and less Raidcraft in the past. Introducing Panda's and trying to make world PvP matter again isnt going to work. Better off sticking to what the current player base like. More instances and Raids, More Tier gear ( what Tier are we up to now? 15? ) more pve content.

Chances are if your playing WoW atm you like the PvE aspect more than the PvP aspect.

If they would let guilds purchase ships to use in invasions you might find me there pandas or no pandas image

O yes that is for sure good news, maybe i play something before winter. Like always only Bill can make us happy.O yes ! O yes! PLEASE Blizzard give us epic pvp battles  and may the eternal war start again. Nothing in this world of online gaming can compare with Horde vs Alliance war

i came back to WoW (only mmo worth a sub for me) though i just bought 1 month few days ago. I decided to start the alliance this time on a new and more populated server (rppvp) and i am really still loving it. I dont have beta access to MoP but i do like MoP and its Asian theme and stuff. Ill most likely be playing GW2 as main focus, then WoW every 1 or 2 months. Waiting for MoP to get it and buy another month.

over 7 years later and still enjoying warcraft, then again i enjoy a lot of different games.  I have my complaints about each game i play but nothing worth freaking out over.

Thanks for the memories, Blizz... but I'm 95% sure I draw the line at Pandas and Pokemon.

Is it just me or has the quality of just about everything Blizzard has done gone down since the merge with Activision? Even SC II... while I liked the Single Player game, the gameplay itself just didn't grab me. I felt like I was playing SC I with better graphics.

Hm, so will the Panda bring back the glory? Who can say. The competition is definitely harder now.

Every server in the game is utterly lop sided 95% one way or the other. How could they possibly hope to do this? They would literally be forced to do GW2 WvW idea to even have a chance at pvp in WoW anymore outside of battlegrounds.

WoW can only go downhill and the developpers know that, they are not trying to make a good or fun game any more, instead they are scrapping as much profit as they can before it dies which will probably take a while as 10 million players aren't going to just leave from one day to another. Blizzard can probably still pull off another expansion after MoP but it will probably do the same thing, introducing some ridiculous race/class/features aimed at grabbing the most money from whatever they consider to be their top market (with MoP id say they consider it to be 12 year olds).

That said, I don't think it's entirely a bad thing, I won't be playing WoW, but I still believe Blizzard is a very capable company and the more money they can scrape from poor old WoW the more money they have to developpe awesome things for me to play xD. I am particullarly interested in seeing what they pull off with Titan.

Cata was supposed to put the War back in Warcraft.  Open world pvp isn't conducive to the Skinner Box method that Blizz has done so well with over the years.

I'll be staying for the pets - I love the idea of battling pets.

I like the idea of more world PvP.

    It's starting to sound promising.

    Yay, more ganking.

At least if this is a success all the gankers will stay with WoW and wont infect other games....

Personally, I don't give a damn about PVP, I enjoy the story. The Panderans are a really gimmicky/cheesy race, like the Goblins, not really a fan of that.

Maybe it's a core issue with the lore, but the 2 faction system is one of WoW's largest problems.  It divides the playerbase and I'm not sure it adds a lot to the gameplay.

Maybe more War is good, but the focusing on the factions and reinforcing the imbalances isn't helping.

If you don't worry about it, it's not a problem.

I'm still looking forward to MoP even after playing WoW for 5+ years for several reasons:

    1. Monks are freaking awesome.

    2. I'm actually really intruiged by the pet battle system. It will be nice to have something else to do besides RP or grinding dungeons (I don't really PvP that much these days).

    3. I'm not sure how much appeal getting to manage our own farms will have but I'll give it a shot.

    4. New changes to archaeology.

    5. While I may not be that into PvP anymore, I admit the whole "putting the war back in warcraft" angle does sound promising. I'm especially looking forward to getting to take down Garrosh.

In my opinion, anyone who claims WoW is "dying" is just putting their foot in their mouth. I wouldn't be surprised if, even in the face of newer games like GW2, Tera, and The Secret World, WoW lived on for another 5-10 years. It still remains as one of the most accesable and user-friendly MMO's to date and no amount of newer flashier games will change that.

Nice to think of them going that direction, but I doubt it will make it there in a PvP level.  I too enjoyed the Tarren Mill vs South Shore Battles.  I was completely geeked by Alterac Valley when it first arrived, thinking that they might put those mechanics into the world.  The whole taking towers and them becomming your archers and the like.  That is more how I pictured World of Warcraft being.  Zones like they have today, but controled by Horde, Alliance or perhaps an NPC faction.

I played for years and did still enjoy the battle grounds, but nothing did ever show more promise for World pvp concepts than AV.  Oh well, Guild Wars 2 and Planetside 2 are what I am looking forward to now.
