It's a Dungeon Crawler, quite a fun one, and Blizzard did a good job on the game. The game is also very linear in terms of RPG story. A few days of fun then move on. That's likely the way GW2 will be too, a few days of fun then move on to longer term games.
Have it installed but haven't tried it yet, the server spectacle is bad and blizz should have known it would happen, it is no big secret people have been looking forward to D3.
If you force people to go online all the time for a single player game you better get enough servers to handle the load, no excuse.
I agree on the D2 rehash. I am having fun with it, but honestly it is an updated D2 (not even LOD level).
I think the launch fiasco IS Blizzards fault. They have been runnning servers for WoW for years. They KNEW how many copies they had sold/pre-sold, and they incited via marketing for everybody to login at 12:01, so they got what they wanted. And we didn't. I got to play 24 hours later, after 2 server down sessions for hours. I was busy in the meantime with SW:TOR.
I am also one of those who checks every corner of the map. So I am barely starting Act III with my first char, and have 2 other classes started.
The online issue is a pain. The RMAH does nothing for me. The current AH is fine, with credits vs real money. Good luck with that. I don't consider the RMAH part of the game, more like a comercial venture. I refuse to play that.
That being said, I don't really get why there's been so many server problems. I mean, it's not like this is Blizzard's first online party. Single 2-handed weapon melee weapon? At least before the harder levels, if you want to max DPS you'll want to dual wield. You need a single 2-H that is at least 15% higher in damage than the 1-H weapons, and I've yet to see one come along. I just started "Nightmare" level on my Hardcore Barbarian so I don't know after normal levels, I hope it's better.
A lot of people think loot is broken. I'm not sure it's as broke as some people think, or that they just want killer loot easy. Generally, I think both are true.
My first character was a Barbarian, and it was a blast to play. I've leveled up all the classes to at least 10 in Hardcore (Hardoce means "permadeath"; your dead, the end, roll another character), and so far the Witch Doctor is my favorite other than Barbarian. It's actually taking me experimenting to work out how best to play, which for a veteran MMOG gamer means quite a bit. Let's just say throwing jars of spiders isn't like any other class I've played, ever.
The Auction House - I'm not sure they could have made it less intuitive. In my opinion,it's just bad.
My biggest complaint is probably that we are forced to play online. With so many other games where co-op is possible you can play offline and enjoy the game fully by yourself with no limitations, and I just don't understand why Blizzard made the choice to force people to play online. Very. Bad. Move.
Have played: Everquest, Asheron's Call, Horizons, Everquest2, World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings Online, Warhammer, Age of Conan, Darkfall
Why does this game have more than 1 part?? I finished the game in 2 days, putting about 10 hours in. This game isn't an MMO, why aren't there any full fledged reviews out yet? The game was good, but not amazing, seriously.

I stayed away because the con's simply out weigh the pro's.
cons:
1. Single player game I have to go online for-no thx
2. Re-hashed D2-no thx
3. I could just play D2 witch is still a better game lol.
pros:
1. It's a new game.....
Your loss, is all I can say.
Its the first time in 7 years that I've actually been addicted to game.
And its the first time since I can remember that 95% of all my gaming contacts are actually playing and loving the same game.
those that arnt are out in the cold, and they are not happy xD

This will do until GW2 comes out.
In my opinion, best Diablo by far.
