I noticed the particle affets were turned down ALLOT. I really enjoyed the boss fights now that I was able to see the bosses during the fight. Although they still seem to be a bit disjointed in their movement paterns. This might be partly due to the beta being CPU entensive though.

From what i've seen in earlier videos, some fire effects were toned down a bit (which is good).
I think we'll have a nice particle slider to deal with that, though, when the game starts using the GPU.
i am very satisfied with the graphics and it is good to see, that they react to player feedback and tuned down particle effects. a slider would be perfect.
even if graphics is ok for me, is there an official statement, that they are working on multi-core usage and especially GPU usage? actually i am astonished, that they could deliver a good looking game at all, with this 1-CPU-centric approach so far.
played: Everquest I (6 years), EVE (3 years)
months: EQII, Vanguard, Siedler Online, SWTOR, Guild Wars 2
weeks: WoW, Shaiya, Darkfall, Florensia, Entropia, Aion, Lotro, Fallen Earth, Uncharted Waters
days: DDO, RoM, FFXIV, STO, Atlantica, PotBS, Maestia, WAR, AoC, Gods&Heroes, Cultures, RIFT, Forsaken World, Allodds
and its possible they are holding back quality in the beta just because of that so it may or may not get better too
there were alot of times when the game chugged tho but still great when it comes to something hardly useing more then 25% of my cpu and 0-20% of my gpu they have alot of headrom to work with
