Just an idea…those of us that have pre-purchased the game should all get one beta invite we can give out to a friend. I bet most of us have someone we are trying to convince to buy the game but that needs a little convincing. I’m pretty sure this would generate quite a few new sales.

Thats a fun idea. Would be really good for advertising the game so it might be beneficial to Anet.
Of course......it wouldnt benefit me. My friends arent that cool. My best friend spends most of his time making masks out of paper machete for no reason. No Im not kidding. And downloads illegal copies of cartoons he claims he is saving for his kids, yet he doesnt have any nor a girlfriend and lives with his mom. And I know he watches them. I just know he does.
Ah....off topic. Sigh.....wish I had cooler friends.
If i had a friend like that, he'd not be my friend for long... that's just a telltale sign of mental issues to come!
That would certainly be nice. I had lots of trouble getting extra key for friend who were not originally interested in gw2.

That idea passed my mind a couple of times too because I know some folks that are on the fence. They're interested in the game based on what they've read about it, but don't want to prepurchase after being dissapointed a few times too often when making a blind leap into other mmo worlds (and I can't blame them for that) without having experienced it themselves first.
Being able to participate in a BWE would probably win them over. But it would mean that Anet would need to double their server capacity once more if everybody invites a friend.
