Guild Wars 2 Beta Key?

Hi. I was wondering if anyone knew where i could get my hands on a beta key for the upcoming beta event :] ?

Could be anything from a site where i could enter a contest to win one in a key giveaway, to anyone who wants to share one they already got but dont need :].

    Check out GuildWars2 twitter feed, they've been retweeting beta key giveaways. Fairly sure that'd be the easiest place to find most giveaways.

    I think you are kind of late to the party. Most if not all sites that had keys already gave them out unfortunately, so I think you're out of luck.

    Edit: Also, yes, what Nefera said is a good idea.

    You may also have to slice off a head or two to get your hands on a key. Didn't this very site run out of their 500 (or so?) beta keys within 10 minutes?

    Yeah i do believe so my self. Asking this question probably is kinda late since the beta event is this weekend, but you'll never know right ^^

    Oh and thanks for the twitter one, going to keep my eyes open there to see if they give away any "last minute" keys.

    Right now, if you pre-ORDER the game at Amazon.com in the US...you get a beta key and 3-day head start access. The item is reserved, but your credit card is not charged until the game releases...so you should be able to try out the game before buying.

    Just remember that if you're in Europe, you need to get the European version - i.e. US pre-order will do you no good due to current login restriction. If you're just about anywhere else though, you're good to go with the above advice!

    I'm pretty sure the EU amazon only gives you beta access for pre-purchase, must be different laws/rules over here.

    If you buy the digital version from the official site, yes. Other places I'm not sure about. Certain retailers are giving pre-order codes instead of pre-purchase codes and pre-order codes don't get you into the beta. So to be on the safe side, I'd get the digital version from guildwars2.com

    Yep, when I got it from Anet directly I received the info and key within minutes. If you want to do it, though, I'd recommend you to hurry up, they closed it down ("ran out of keys") a couple of days before the first BWE started.

    I just love it when people beg for stuff, and everyone knows they are not going to get it for free.

     

    Any way, if your want to access beta right now, you got to pay the price or have to patience to wayt for more free keys, if they are ever going to be released.

    Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

    Nah you don't Amazon are giving pre-purchase keys on pre-orders at the moment.

    Honestly, if the people who were elders, were the ones that wanted them, I'd do my damnedest to help find them one.  These people who've only been around lately... well, yea.  I really wish these forums wouldn't turn into "can I get one" forums.

    DIs, I'm looking for you but I can't seem to find a free one right now.
