I know some gamers get paid from e sports, Korea. 100k USD + contracts while taking 1st place in MLG might cover travel expenses. Others exploit or grind for chump change in RMAH like diablo or more nefarious exploits. Diablo 3 players where acting a fool over the RMAH with $$$ in their eyes before bots and dupes exploited to victory.
The only real overlord game is the stock market in which most MMO companies get traded in. So how can we use our knowledge to get paid?
So what is they key, to profits?
Even after playing closed beta I am unsure of the game's future. I notice a dire lack of content so know the game will not do as well as expected. Yet the stock is pumped high after company officials declare expectations. Short sell every MMO. post launch? (short sell, is when you sell what you don;t have and have X number of days to deliver so you buy later on for a lower price.
MMOs are meant for longevity and I know MMOs are not built that way anymore. Though you only have two weeks at most to short a stock and it takes months for many MMO casuals to /unsub.
When would be the best time's to short a stock? launch is one I see, maybe 1 month after launch, and then a day before the quarterly report.
any critiques or tips?

Listen to nothing I say on the subject.
buying stock in a gaming company is a huge risk. stocks tend to spike after a successful launch but in order to make any real money you'd have to gamble on a company years prior to a launch. so many things can happen, company runs out of money, companys get's bought out and project scrapped, project cancelled, not to mention the game will most likely flop as most mmo's tend to. good luck.
One thought comes to mind. If you want to earn money from MMO's, go out and create one.
If you are willing to take a risk in stocks, then maybe you can convince other people to also take a risk. Those are called investors. If you can convince investors, the next step is to buy a 5 year supply of Mountain Dew. Now hire a director that wants way too much money (but you can't argue with him because who the hell else is gonna do it?).
Now sit back and wait. Drop by your studio every once in awhile and just comment that everything "sucks" as you walk through the hallway. So how easy that is?
Edit: Oh yeah...buy yourself a new house, car, and take on an expensive new hobby with some of that money from the investors. That sort of behavoir builds confidence.
Why not try to stream a game, but be sure to pick a game thats popular, maybe one of the new MOBA's on the market.
Some players use all their time levelling up and making their heroes strong to win pvp tournaments. A lot of mmo events have real cash as prizes. For some, i heard that they get paid by playing other's accounts. some company hires them to play different accounts to reach the level gap as soon as possible.
