Unfinished Endgame.

Atlan99Atlan99 Member UncommonPosts: 1,332

Since Arenanet said that Orr is Endgame.

Well that Endgame is broken then. Everywhere I look in Orr I see broken DE's. This Tortage and AoC all over again. This is most certainly why Arenanet doesn't have forums and is keeping  a tight lid on the situation.

The only  thing you can really do now is reroll.  I'm a little dissapointed to say the least.

Yet another comapny releases an unfinished product and has no trouble selling it to us at full price.

Elaborate please? I've run into bugs here and there but not enough to say the game is unfinished. In fact, this is the most polished launch I've seen in a long time (aside from their web services, those have been bad so far).

No offense if you have but they probably didn't expect people to reach 80th and be complaining about "end of the game content" in the first week of release.  I doubt they'll focus on it much either given they're still sorting out launch issues.  Why rush through the game anyways when you know there probably wont' be end game content ready.  No mmo ever does.

All WOW had was Stratholme, UBRS & Scholo & yes people used to raid that with 20 people in vanilla wow.  When they finally released Molten Core people were wiping at the zone in for awhile.

Since every mmo in the last 10 years has people reaching end game in practically no time at all, they must have known it would happen in GW2...unless you want to imply the developers at Anet are too "dumb" to make the connection.

No I think they realized it but released the game anyway.

i think you are exaggerating but i am not 80 yet

Tortage?  where only 20 levels were good for a level 70 game?  maybe the inverse of  that

when WOW launched i was 60 in less than 3 weeks - went to Silithus

what did i find when i went there?   mobs were horribly broken - gave no drops at all,  no quests in the zone either

my WOW experience in Silithus is probably what your Orr experience compares to

The DE's in Orr don't work. Many of them are broken. For instance there is a boss just outside a base in Orr. He ir standing against one corner and does nothing. He is invulnerable to attacks. There is also a DE where a npc collects items while you protect her. You protect her and then it restarts and you have to protect her again. There is a few escort quests that won't start. There is another quest to retake a camp that fails occasionally because the monsters spawn too rapidly for you to  take them all out.

I bet they thought players wouldn't reach higher end content so far. Maybe they have a lot of content in the game but maybe it is the fact that their content is a cake walk which makes reaching higher end content a lot faster. Amazing though, not even a week old and players reaching higher tier content already. I'm shocked, really I am...

What a shame. Not that they are broken but that you are still doing the same things at level 80 that you started doing at level 1.image

Once again, and hopefully for the last time, GW2 is all game.

developers have said that all along shouldn't be any surprise.. higher up is just on a bigger scale.. but they have said all along game doesn't make a drastic change in how you play  as soon as you hit 80 or anything

I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. Orr is working nearly perfectly, there are some bugs, but comapred to TSW, which didn´t even had many bugs, this is nothing. Otherwise, WoW, also had the same issues via launch, and if I remember it well, it is now #1 mmo in the world ?!

Big facepalm to all your hate threads and comments, I gonna enjoy the coming days when you will get some extra facepalms when the reviews for the game are done. Later on, you will get some extra facepalm with sales and active players. Lately, u will open a thread, crying, about how ArenaNet paid to all different sites to get good '' scores ''.

well, why not? if Orr 'd be totally empty - who would care? the 0,5% rushers? you can never satisfy those. never. as arenanet is a somewhat bright company -they just ignore those and make the best game for 99,5% of their playerbase. sounds great to me. Till we are in Orr, it will be blooming and booming ;)

And that would only count if the OP would have a valid point - as its not true what he says, it ads a nonfactor point to his nonfactor existence  :D

So: they surely expected people to reach lvl 80 that early. they knew what kind of people that would be, and didnt care :)

what i dont understan is the extent at which some people are willing to troll. they troll the forums the day they buy it, and they continute to troll it the entire week they are rushing to endgame, skipping over all the other content, playing the game how its not supposed to be played. its like their sole purpose for buying the game is just so they can reach endgame faster than most people so that when they troll people, most cant argue with them because they are enjoying their time an havent reached it yet or will reach it in a long time from now.

well looks like you werent fast enough. looks like enough non-trolls have reached endgame to call you out on your garbage trolling attempts.

This is what I've been saying all along. Marketing lets you look at the games amazing leveling while sweeping the lack of endgame under the rug. Yet you guys keep buying them despite the SWTOR fiasco. Sad

Why should games ever make a solid endgame when they can keep tricking gamers with the same bait and switch for, soon to be, a decade.

  • GamerUntouchGamerUntouch Member Posts: 488

There's a difference bettween broken endgame and unfinished.

The content's there, it's just buggy.

amazing how some people take so much stock on a topic from a single person on a internet forum

As I'm playing GW2 as a sidegame I really like it. Nice MMO with tons of content without a monthly sub - what else could one want? But please, fanbois, stop insulting everyone not praising GW2. You fanbois seem like a bunch of tools sometimes. Every game has it faults and GW2 has several as well.

This makes no sense at all.  Its been a week and still no AH (I bet they are hoping people buy some gems though)  so what makes you think when the rest of the 99.5% get to 80 it will be any different then it is right now?  So they released a game knowing high level area is broken?   Is that what your trying to say?

  • Arachneus1Arachneus1 Member UncommonPosts: 248
Did anyone really think that level 80 was going to be any different than any other level in the game?  Also all the content is there so what are we complaining about?  That it is bugged?  I am so confused by this topic, people have been told for a year now that level 80 is the same thing as level 2...DE's and WvW and grinding for cosmetic gear.  They don't need to ADD any content its just slightly bugged thats all.

There has been several broken DEs throughout the entire game, simply because of player actions that may have made it bugged, or unstability due to players going to a brand new place.

I'd say shelve the game and wait until further notice, because you dont have to pay yet again.

I take it you're not impressed with the massive WvW, also known as "the invisible zergs land"?

And the absolutley horrible tradepost performance is unexcusabe.  The marketplace isn't something new and evolutionary,  This is mmo basics 101.
