Dude, that's when you get really powerful! Having hundreds of thousands of HP and glowing pauldrons means you're having more fun, that's just science.
I'm I wrong in thinking that people who do this are internet bullies because the main reason is to beat up less stat padded players?
On a PvP server? Probably. It's not hard to ruin someone's day with the basic max level PvP gear and some pricks out there love doing it... "hehe, Ima camp at the dark portal and wait for a lvl 60 to zone in"... otherwise, the Arena gear is pretty tough to get. The hardcore PvP'ers I know took their "status" a little more seriously.

It's the reason for the competitve players to get to the endgame-content as fast as possible. You know, those who see playing MMOs the same way as playing soccer. It's all about winning and being rewarded for their efforts.
Sure, many casual players don't understand this POV, but for alot of players MMOs are their only hobby, and they want to progress, get better and be ontop of the leader-board in PvP, or kill the last boss in the newest dungeon before anyone else.
Leveling up is totally uninteresting for those players.
But it bothers me when people rush to end game in a few days then whine on forums there is no content.
They play MMORPGS as if they were console style rpgs and try to beat them as fast as they can without exploring the game, explore the lands, and take part in so much mmo's have to offer.......... Well i guess that would be out of the picture with these newer aged mmo's that are nothing more than console rpg's.
Why i think sandbox games are best, no end game, can spend days just exploring one area, and limits are unbound to where and what you can do.

Sorry, but that's a bad analogy. Anytime someone compares max level gear grinding to sports, I shake my head. When you win a soccer game, you don't get magic pants that make you better the next time - playing soccer would actually be closer to the leveling game of an MMO, not the endgame. I agree with the rest, but please... don't insult soccer or any other sport by comparing their players to endgame hoarders.
Nope. I don't care. Because I don't care how someone else in the game chooses to spend their time. I am having fun doing what I am doing.
I also don't care that my neighbor drives a newer car than me. Mines paid off and it gets me to where I need to be. Why should I worry about how others live their life.
You can pretend that what the people and gamers around you do doesn't affect you, but that fact is that the actions of others impacts the world at large whether that world be virtual or otherwise.
Meaning...the way people consume products will affect the economy and the way future products are designed, marketed, and sold. Your laissez-faire attitude towards the subject does not make it less impactful. You may find yourself eventually in a marketplace that no longer offers a product you are interested in...
i think what bothers people is that the same guy who just spent 100 hours straight playing a game to get to max level is now complaining that he is bored and the game sux.
Quite so. The obsessives, like the poor, are always with us. I pity them both, equally.
