I have recently been enjoying HeroZero due to it's wit, irreverence and being to true to it's genre but as a browser game it is just too shallow, being based on large waits. Even of you just train each day then that is 50 minutes.
Can anyone suggest an alternative with more conventional MMO structure, a small download and one that I can play at an irregular pace and I can abandon a gaming sessions at short notice without spoiling the game?

I probably ought to add a few things, in order to provide more information.
I discovered HeroZero here, via a list of new MMOs on a sidebar.
I initially found the game superior to the standard Facebook game, such as Zinga's GenericWars series, and it would suit someone able to play the game in a browser as they attend to other tasks.
The PvP parts were passable even though it was effectively two 2D avatars, dressed in wierd kit, bouncing to attack, dodge and shuddering from impact.
What got me was the character building, even though it down to building up just four attributes, the jokes about the absurdity of people trying to be superheroes and how I was able to do a few things to contribute to that rather absurd setting.
I'm not looking for the moon on a stick - the MMO I'm seeking needs to be no richer than SJG's Munchkin (I was playing that yesterday with new players and a deck built from the first three expansion sets) but a degree of immersion greater than 2D avatars with waits for delays to complete.
