Be sure to spread the word on the *investment* $250 KS package

It can be viewed as an investment btw. Any tier with a $1 per year re-up , anyone that would be a frequent player would be spending upwards of $100 per year anyways.

$250 - 1 copy at $1 yearly re-up.

$350 - 2 copies of the game at $1 yearly re-up. Practically pays itself off after 1 1/2 years.

$500 and $550 - 3 copies of the game at $1 yearly re-up.

These aren't hard sells, especially to people that get invested in 1 MMO and like to encourage their friends to join them.

Now the yearly $1 re-up may only be for 1 of the digital copies of the game in fine print somewhere, but on the face of it, however many copies of the game you get with the package, and if it has $1 re-up available, will be very popular for those looking to fund the KS cause they can be viewed as investments and not donations.

This can even be viewed as a way to sell the higher tier ones because at 3 years for 3 accounts you would have collectively spent $1000 anyways.

If you're intrigued by the whole idea of this project and think it sounds different than what's out there, it's worth throwing something on KS to see how it turns out.  No KS, no game.

Here's a quick sound-bite-like sum-up on the $250 Warrior Foreever tier to save you (or your gamer buddy who might be interested) from having to toggle back and forth and find it in the list of donation thank-yous:

If you think this is a game you might be interested in playing for a while, the (limited) $250 lifetime subscription level is really a decent deal.  Aside from supporting the project you get the game, a bunch of nifty account perks such as 3 additional character slots and handy FPs to spend on perks you choose, and a lifetime subscription ( which is 3 years free, then $1/year to renew...had to be worded that way for Kickstarter).

(And, for those who don't know Kickstarter policies, your money doesn't go from your account into the project unless it funds fully (allowing them to actually produce the game).  So, actually paying your money=a game for you to play.)

Let's get the word out and get this thing funded. :)

Have seen a LOT of $250 pledges flying off the shelves among guildies, friends, and message boards. They are all great tiers though.

I hope this gets funded, I really do.

But I just cant bring myself to " invest"  that much money into a concept for a game. Bully for the folks that do and I have spread the word about this KS to anyone who might be interested.

Good luck to em tho. If it gets made and released I will happily " invest" in the final product for sure.

If the KS funds, the game will be made.  It has been said it needs $5m to launch.  When the KS funds, Mark puts in $2m along with another $1m from undisclosed peoples.  That equals $5m when added to the fully funded KS, what they need to launch.  All of that money goes to launching the game and Mark takes no salary.  The launch will cost a lot less than typical MMOs because there will be no PvE to develop.

KS only takes your money when the KS fully funds.  Otherwise it never charges you.  If you have been waiting for a game like this, there is no reason not to help get it off the ground.  If you can spare a couple hundred, your backing donation pays for itself in 1-2 years by having a lifetime sub.  But honestly, if you would be excited about a game like this, at least give $5-$25.

I'll just buy the game when it releases. Have zero faith in devs. Especially ones that created ToA, New Frontiers, and Warhammer.

Hmm so Gole you only focus on the bad stuff? What about Dark Age of Camelot before TOA? Not everything was bad and the good things were made by the same team.:)
