No. It's a shame a could be great game is being ruined by UTTER COMPANY GREED!
The whole point in this game is to collect and level up Tier 3 companions and eventually get T3 gear and mounts.
The companion system is one of the MAIN features of this game.
That's why I play MMORPG's. To progress my characters.
I don't care about the Foundry. I don't have the time for it.
So play and progress your characters and don't bitch about not wanting to pay to progress them.
Yes he's mostly complainign about AD price of items, and cost of AD in store. A complaint being made before the game is even live or people have had a chance to establish a market for AD in game. Which is rather foolish and indicates that he's never played another b2p game at launch before.
yea value of AD is largely based on the market its hard to say how easy or hard AD will be to make from the AH till the masses hit the game and more AD is circulating out their.. also it gives you something to work on.. that was a huge complaint in GW2.. i could easily just spend some cash and buy full exotics if I wanted to but why should I? it defeats the whole point of working on it yourself.. sure you may need millions of AD but its a progression system which is what you wanted right? to continually work to make your character stronger which this system provides.. i thought you were complaining about the zen market which is why I was confused
I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. If I buy a candy bar at a store, oftentimes, I will drop it... so that it achieves its maximum flavor potential. --Mitch Hedberg
remind me why gw2 is still lauded for their b2p modle when even they seem to be causally admitting they didn't get enough digi/box sales to push out content as fast and as well developed as they want and for all intents in purposes gw2 is a mediocre game. Im'M sorry but in f2p games, especially in cryptic/PW games RE OPTIONAL> with a little work most if not all cash shop items are attainable in game......if your laziness is eeeking you toward the cash shop maybe mmos are not for you

So you think 35 - 40 dollars / euros for stuff like mounts and companions is normal?
Have you checked the companion vendor ingame and seen the prices for T3 compansions?
You're facing some serious hardcore grind ingame to acquire just one of those.
so what? if you get them in a month then what are you going to do? makes more sense to work a couple months + to get them and feel like you acomplished something.. you don't need to spend anything that's the point you want it just work towards it.. unless you are the type that "needs" to be the first one to get everything

Exactly... I happily want to work for it ingame and spend some cash on convinience stuff along the way to keep Cryptic in bussiness.
But the amount of grind I am facing in this game just was an instant turn off for me.
Some people might have time to play 10 hours a day.... fine! They will have no trouble with the grind in this game.
People with far less time on their hands will sertainly be dissapointed in this game, when they see the prices.

Sorry a couple months mindless grind to get a single T3 companion, which then afterwards you still need to level up / train to rank 30! Not my cup of thee.
The whole point of companions, is that they can level up alongside you and aid you in questing and running dungeons.
For me there is a difference between putting effort in the game or just facing a mindless grind.
Effort I like. Mindless grind I do not.
And that's all I have to say to it for now. TIme for bed for me. After midnight here.
Exactly how is a T3 mount necessary to play the game in its full extent? You can't even use mounts in dungeons, so it's just a slight commodity to travel around in town (minor upgrade from the prevous tier mount).
I guess the point is just complaining?
My opinion is my own. I respect all other opinions and views equally, but keep in mind that my opinion will always be the best for me. That's why it's my opinion.

you have no way to determine that until you see what the market for AD will be like once the game hits the masses and how much you can sell drops for on the AH.. could be awhile maybe not.. but most MMOs are a grind very few like GW2 don't have much grind at all but they want people playing for a long time so you put in a heavy grind for people who want that.. i don't really have an issue with either way.. my main issue with cash shops is if you are required to spend cash for best in slot items or you can obtain "more powerfull" items from the cash shop than could be obtained otherwise..

It's not just mounts. It's everything! From gear to Tier 3 companions to everything else.
Just look at a gear vendor for example a lvl16 blue item. By the time you gathered enough marks you will be level 30 and have far outleveled it! Absolutely stupid. There is just no proper balance in this game when it comes to ingame vendor prices.
i'm also curious once you obtained that T3 gear and have best in slot in everything what next? what does this game offer you that would keep you playing since you have no interest in the foundry?

Playing foundry missions I like. I was talking about using the foundry myself to create content. I don't have time for that.
PWE is P2W everyone knows this. All of thier games are highly pay to win, they make thier money overseas where they like that sort of thing. Launching it here is just bonus for them.

Well I had hoped with Cryptic and Neverwinter mostly marketed to the West, that they would keep the prices on more sane levels.
I guess I was wrong. And that's that. I just go back and continue on playing other games like GW2, TSW, etc.

P2W or grind your face off. Wants his cake and and a handjob while it gets fed to him via teleportation. The grind aint gonna be that bad if your smart... look at the IG systems man... there are..."things" to be put together and profited from if your not a whiney dip. /removesilverspoonfromass
Of course their not, the only reason he is pissed is because he can;t afford it and wants them. Might I add its also better then TSW since NWO you only need to make 1 or 2 big purchases like that, In TSW its niockle and diming to death every other day.
Slightly off topic, but there is nothing sold in TSW shop that you have to have in order to play, apart from maybe the dlc packs. The rest is 100% fluff/cosmetic and convenience.
Is a man not entitled to the herp of his derp?
Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.

what is pay to win in neverwinter? guess i have a very differn't view of what p2w means

on another note what does having T3 gear really matter in this game.. it's not a PVP focused game it's not a raiding focused game.. it's a small dungeon and dungeon creator focused game.. just curious as to what it matters if you have T3 gear now or in 6 months if you happen to be playing that long.. guess i just don't understand that mentallity and how it would really apply to this game

When people rage like this for prices like in Neverwinter, it really makes me laugh. You guys have never seen what the real cash grab looks like, I know people spending 700 bucks on gamble boxes for a mount (and at the end not getting the mount) in Atlantica Online. And there that mount really comes with stats. People spending thousands per month in Maple Story. And the list goes on.
Neverwinter is a heaven compared to the "real" free to play cash grab. Anything which can be actually played for free, paying only for cosmetics (and yes mounts are included here), has excellent value for people not willing to spend much (if even at all)
If you've played the game enough that you are already worrying about end game companion advancement, I'm not exactly sure you deserve a refund. If you are looking ahead, worried about the prices... these things will all go on sale eventually. The overabundance of China in this game really does detract from it, but high prices are to be expected considering the game was just released.

I'm curious too. Maybe some people think that moving a 5% faster in town is winning?
Imagine all the races you can win to get to the dungeon 5 seconds before everyone else, and all the awesome loot you get for it.
