If they have fast travel that instantly warps you somewhere, then the game is dead to me. I don't mind fast travel where it still makes you feel like you're in a world like boat rides or Griffins in WoW. I do not want how it's like in MMOs today where you can just talk to an NPC or click on a map or what ever else that instantly warps you somewhere, it instantly kills your immersion.
Also if instances aren't built convincingly into to the world are a big killer because again it destroys immersion. If I talk to an NPC and randomly get warped somewhere then no, that is fail and I wont bother playing. If however they're built like When WoW was released (haven't played in years) where they're built into the world, take up real world space and you have to travel into a building or cave to get to them, then I can accept that. For example you enter the Dead Mines and exit it at another location, to where you can get a sense of scale of the size of the cave and you can even see the rear of it from another zone.
I need immersion, I need to feel part of a world, if there is instant travel or it feels too instance heavy to what MMOs have become now, I just cannot play.

I actually like how EQ2 did their fast travel. Guilds had to quest to build portals in their Hall that gave their guilds faster access to places.

Ya that made the world a little more dead. I think it should go back to portal are only in major player hubs. For me and my gaming needs, I left EQ1 because of 3-5 raids a week 5-8hr raids to just keep up. I hope the balance of hardcore game system with casual time frame is built into the game. Also I used to juggle EQ1 and DAoC to get my PvP fix. I really hope EQN has a solid PvP plan. Dont care what they do, DAoC model, contented areas, join factions like Rift. I just need something!

I hope they bring back XP loss upon death and allow clerics the ability to rez to avoid xp loss . So I can charge 100pp per rez .
I just hope it will be subscription based. I'm tired of paying for parasites who complain that they don't get quite everything for nothing, and that those who do pay get an advantage. Bu-huu.
Pay a sub for the privilige to play the game, or play games which cost nothing to maintain and develop.

For me the breaker could be the cash-shop. I prefere to earn my items even the appearance ones and my character and my house should represent my dedication to the ingame world not the size of my wallet.
I don't realy have much issues with fast travel if its done right. Teleportation should be limited(low density for teleport exit-points) and needss to be unlocked before a player is able to use it. In addition i prefere things like boat trips that take a while over instant teleportation.
Bug Issues, Lag Issues, Exploit Issues
Without those I am sure this can be a killer MMO
Well, every game in the history of MMOs have had all those problems.
