So I'm reinstalling since FFXIV 1.0...

in Final Fantasy XIV

I was one of the people that got the CE for this game when it came out originally, and left probably a month afterwards.

 

So now after all this time, I'm coming back to try this open beta now.

 

Managed to find the patcher, reactivate the game on my account, and start downloading.

 

Will I be able to get any of the collectors edition and/or predorder bonuses this time around?   I did get the collectors edition after all (for 1.0).

    You'll not get any pre order items, however you will get the New In game collectors Edition items listed here :-

    Along with any items you had from your original CE

    You'll get a free copy of the game, two weeks of free play time and all of the Digital Collector's Edition items for A Realm Reborn.  They also have a Veteran Reward system whereby they give you free stuff every month you subscribe.

    Due to frequent travel in my youth, English isn't something I consider my primary language (and thus I obtained quirky ways of writing).  German and French were always easier for me despite my family being U.S. citizens for over a century.  Spanish I learned as a requirement in school, Japanese and Korean I acquired for my youthful desire of anime and gaming (and also work now).  I only debate in English to help me work with it (and limit things).  In addition, I'm not smart enough to remain fluent in everything and typically need exposure to get in the groove of things again if I haven't heard it in a while.  If you understand Mandarin, I know a little, but it has actually been a challenge and could use some help.

    Also, I thoroughly enjoy debates and have accounts on over a dozen sites for this.  If you wish to engage in such, please put effort in a post and provide sources -- I will then do the same with what I already wrote (if I didn't) as well as with my responses to your own.  Expanding my information on a subject makes my stance either change or strengthen the next time I speak of it or write a thesis.  Allow me to thank you sincerely for your time.

    I take it I won't be getting "early access" this time around.

    Early Access was only for Pre-orders or Legacy members - which you wont have as you could only earn this during a certain period of time during billing after it was free for some time.

    no early access, but all old and new digital CE items along with free sub until 9th of SEP

    you can pre order the game and have 2 game codes on 1 account if you want to dual box. best of both worlds

    Wonder if new characters created get to use the old 1.0 collectors edition items.

     

    Like if I made a new character on a new server, would I still get an in game mail with my Onion Helm?

     

    Would be pretty funny getting one of those again.   The most prestigious newbie headgear of all time!
