Is the anyway i can test the game before i buy/will my graphics card run this game?

First question:

Is the anyway I can test the game without having to buy it? You like a trial version, or an in-game singleplayer tutorial in the client?

Second question:

If I cant test the game, will the game run on this crap graphics card:

Intel Extreme 82852/82855(64 mb)

I could also ask if the game requires pixel shader/vertex shader or another modern technology?

I do not know of any place you can go to check this game out...maybe at E3

as for graphic card I use a Gforce 5 I know that is not a good example.

well try downloading client and try to get to login screen, if that works i'm realy sure that the game will work too, but if someone have different opinion just say it or forever be silent

Intel Extreme is always total crap for 3d-games no matter what numbers follow it.

i havnt heard of eny trial or enything so i guess if you want to try it before buying you will have to wait a bit, since i dont things there will be eny trial before a while since the game just came out.

min spec: Pentium 3, 800 mhz or equivalent, 256 meg rams, 2 gb available space on HDD ati readeon 8500 or geforce 3 mx card with 32 mb of vram, 16 bit sound card, internet conectetion , keyboard and mouse. If you have computer with stats that look like those or better you should run the game perfectly.

I ARGEE , I GOT INTEL PIC-E EXPRESS AND IT CANT SUPPROT THIS GAME

unless.....u install the driver, then its playable but not the greatest

buy a geforce or ati....dont bother with intel (trustttt me)

I know that Intet Extreme sucks, but as a Student I'm not the richest man on earth, and I had to buy a Laptop...

Well my comp can run new games like Empire Earth II, World of Warcraft and Stronghold 2... thats what I've tried recently. But does anyone know if it requires pixel shader? Well I'll try dling the client and see if it can enter the login screen...

Well it runs the menu without any problems.

 

Does anyone know if the game REQUIRES pixelshader?

i have a laptop:

-> AMD Athlon XP-M 2600+ MHZ
-> Ati Mobility Radeon 9600 pro

Laptop age => 1,5 year

so not the best .....good example huh

ow, and it runs very good at ALLmost the best (higher then default)

and the game ran like a charm I think.

All you can do is give it a try I guess. I run it on a Dell 5150 with a GeforceFX Go5200.
That runs really well.

if you could run warcraft 3 and empire earth and such on high quality you could probably run GW on your laptop just fine. if not, then just return it.

As far as i know, it is a well known fact that installing the driver might make stuff work better than without.

As an answer to your question: Yes, it will make it..  Read the systemrequments for the game, you grafic card is recomended, and dubble the minimum.

They don't wanna offer a free trial because then the ratings will drop fast.  People who've paid really don't wanna believe they threw away their money--they wanna believe the game is good.

If there was a free trial, people who hadn't invested in the game would be giving their opinions, and then you would see some honesty about it.

Well if it can handle those games then I'm pretty sure it will be able to handle Guild Wars (on lowest settings, it still looks pretty good).

I understand why they wouldn't make a trial for a F2P, but they could make video test or something... but it doesn't matter much now.. you've all convinced me. I'm buying it.

Normally game on my desktop but my laptop runs it fine also. Specs:

P-M 1.3ghz
512megs of ram
ati 9200 32meg

Oddly enough Guild Wars, Eve, Everquest(1), and World of Warcraft run fine on it when I want some mobile wireless gaming

Ok my wife had a $300 Dell desktop that had an intel extreme graphics card built in.  We never changed the memory from 1MB to 8MB and it actually ran the game but it was a bit jumpy from time to time.  Of course you couldn't turn on any of the graphics features.  Of course we got her a newer 128MB PCI card.
