My favourite has to be EQ2, I wish I got involved in EQ1 a few years ago! I'll always remember playing Neocron as it was my first MMORPG and kept me hooked for over a year.

Sims Online?.............Is there someone that actually played that thing?
yes for 2 hours....most of the other games i played less than the given trial time. only for wow and ww2online i had/have a subscribtion..all the other games didnt hold me
Anarchy Online - Shadowlands - for about a year Asheron's Call 2 - off and on since release City of Heroes - 2 or 3 months Dark Age of Camelot - 6 or 8 months Earth and Beyond - off and on from beta til close Everquest - tried it on a whim one weekend, but wasnt uber so no one would talk to me. EverQuest II - beta and 1 month after Final Fantasy XI - 2 or 3 weeks Guild Wars (beta) - only 1 weekend Horizons - Loved it, but too buggy Knight Online (beta) - tried it for a week or so Lineage II - beta only PristonTale - for a month or so Star Wars Galaxies - off and on since beta Shadowbane - tried it for one weekend. The Saga of Ryzom - beta only World of Warcraft - currently playing
I'm sure there are a few more that I've forgotten, but this list includes all the major ones I've played. I'd have to say that DAOC is my all time favorite - although I keep floating back to NexusTK now and then.
UO Hands DOWN! nothing comes close (6 year account)
EQ still rates with the best of them
DAoC still the best PvP / RvR
CoH tons of fun but gets old fast
EQ2 / WoW they are equal in my book
The rest arnt worth mentioning, they all fall into the category of OK but not worth paying for, including the biggest let down in MMO history SWG, a totally flawed project from day one that just gotten worse really..... I may never get over it

My list (Ive tried and/or beta'd every MMO, these are the most memorable)
Ultima Online
Diablo 2 (I know its not MMO but how could you not mention it)
Everquest
World of Warcraft
Lineage 2 (god I loathe that game, but at first it was great )
Neocron2 beta (damn that game had potential *sigh*)
Final Fantasy XI (just got it yesterday Ill be hooked I can tell, would have got it a LOT sooner if not for listening to damn fanbois dissing it)
Ragnarok Online
Most fun-Everquest was just damn fun at the time, I was in a hardcore guild and we did everything but the plane of time, it was a blast with that much cooperation and hard work!
Worst--Lineage 2, I began to loathe it in the end. Meaningless Frind (stands for %&#$ing grind) NO QUESTS WTF
*edit* Rathma and anyone else who still plays FFXI please check the general discussions section and answer my n00b questions
Anarchy online - 1 month Asherons call - 1 month Asherons call 2 - 1 month City of heros - 3 months DAoC - ~1year in 3 short chunks Eve Online - < 1 year (one of my favoite back up games, when I'm not in another game) Everquest - 2 months Everquest 2 - 2 months Legend of Mir - not long Lineage - < 4 years (on and off, total play time of about 3 years) Lineage 2 - 4 months Rangnorok online - 1 month Star Peace - 3 months Star Wars Galaxies - ~6 months total The Matrix online - ~2 weeks Ultima online - ~3 days World of Warcraft - ~2 months World War 2 online - ~ 2 months
My favoite was Lineage
Worst is harder to call, I simply didn't enjoy alot of the games I tried, but if I had to pick one, it would be starpeace, I dont know why I put as much time into it as I did.
Also note that some of these do overlap (for example the first 1-2 months of eve online, I was playing lineage while learning basic skills)
Anarchy Online Dark Age of Camelot Final Fantasy XI EverQuest EverQuest II Saga of Ryzom Shadowbane Ultima Online World of Warcraft
Favorite: WoW. Runner-up: DAoC.
--- MMORPGs Played: Final Fantasy XI, World of Warcraft, Warhammer Online, Final Fantasy XIV, Star Wars The Old Republic, Guild Wars 2, Elder Scrolls Online

Originally posted by rathma List here what MMORPG's you have played, and then at the bottom say which one you enjoyed the most. I can't remember all of mine that i've played, but here goes... Anarchy Online - Shadowlands City of Heroes Dark Age of Camelot EverQuest II Final Fantasy XI Guild Wars (beta) Knight Online (beta) Lineage II The Matrix Online (beta) Neocron Star Wars Galaxies Second Life Planeshift (beta) R.O.S.E. Online (beta) The Saga of Ryzom Ultima Online World of Warcraft
I have enjoyed them all. For good reasons and bad reasons. But the two I keep coming back the most in order are: Anarchy Online, Star Wars Galaxies, EvE, and once in a while EverQuest.
IMHO AO has the most music, in the most areas. That techno-industrial-punk music. SWG could use more music, and even many players during its first year were trying to bring attention to that. SWG still has tons of features no other mmorpg has.
