I can't play a game that dumbed itself down to be playable by kids with adhd

Oh ! Si it isnt open world ? More or wintergrasp skeem ? Oh brother ! This sad ! And you are right even if all is in place if end game reward isn't there it will be ignored ! I always assumed blizzard would make drop piece random and all end game place would have a chance to drop a piece . like open world raid PvP could drop just one piece ( say weapon)

Looks great. Housing sounds interesting. Gives me a place of my own but not a reason to stay there (i.e. dont think we can decorate) which is in line with what Blizz has said in the past (They want us IN the world not hanging out at home).

All of the technical advances are much needed.  Zipping to level 90 is a great optional convenience.

My only gripe and its a small one I can live with, is I wish they made old zones more relevant.  Though I did hear a rumor of level scaling (at least for dungeons) but if true I would push for all old content.  No fun going back to early zones one-shotting everything.  If it level scaled I'd do all the quests.  But thats just me.

You can lock level , but why bother ! No incentive to promote this . there is a lot of stuff in wow but all have 0 incentive .
Like why not give special color or theme for incentive . my big rig can get black chrome wheel but my wow char can't get do you look good stuff without buying it in wow store .

Meet Warlords of Draenor, the least appealing and the most disappointing expansion in WoW history.

You are the one with no clue.

As for the further dumbing the game down I see people talking about, nothing announced in the expansion hints towards that.  Some people may equate the instant level 90 with dumbing the game down but those people are just clueless as to the rationale behind it.  Its not remotely dumbing the game down.

Ha! No dumbing down this expansion? Really? This expansion allows players to obtain gear when they aren't even playing. Garrisons allow players to hire followers. The owner of the garrison can then send his followers out to do raids and dungeons for him/her, log out, log back in and get dingeon and raid gear. When Cata introduced LFR I knew it was over, but now this? Players didn't have to do jack in LFR to get gear, but now they don't even have to go to the freakin raid to get the gear. Even if you don't believe it, there is more dumbing down coming in this expansion.

Because you have seen this in action so you know it works like you say it does?

Sounds to me like your followers go on raids for their gear, not yours.

And even if it was for your gear, to get to that point will likely take a considerable amount of time and effort so its not like you are getting free gear.

There isn't any reason for your followers obtaining gear for themselves besides making them look different or making it easier for them to go on dungeon runs which would make them get gear for you or them faster. If the gear was for the followers, what would be the point of sending them on dungeon runs anyway?

Blizzard has said it could take a week for a follower run. Which will mean free PvE gear every week. Gearing up in PvP is even easier than it was before. In this expansion players can receive random BoE PvP gear just from participating in a battleground.

1 BG=Chance to get PvP gear

1 weeks time(whether you play or not)=PvE gear

The game has been getting dumbed down for years. This expansion is no exception.

Love people with the dumbing down comments.  Before you had to do dailies to get gear for raid finder...people bitched.  Now timeless isle gives you stuff below raid finder so people can get in....people bitch.  Raid finder, even though the loot is worse than regular raids, makes people bitch because the loot was too easy again.  Sorry but with the masses there is no middle ground.

I know lots of people that lock level because they like the pvp at certain levels than others.  And there are only 3 helms in the store as far as I know...so what other items in the store do you mean?

Seems just about as many people that promote scaling in GW2 seems to protest it in GW2.  Taren Mills PvP and the Outland PvP now days would not happen if it scaled.

I dont PvP so I cant speak to that.  Scaling isn't the issue in GW2, its the combat (imo).  Action combat is great, its visceral, etc but it doesn't last for 80-100 levels unless you have a strong character building system.  I just get tired of it.  Let alone I have all my skills way before I reach max level.

WoW is tab target but warrants enough action through movement.  I can be mobile with my Hunter that I don't feel like I'm stationary.

But I also understand that today's audience want more flashy action.  What I have observed is every game that delivers that doesn't do too well over the long term.  Take that to mean what you want.

People go where end game gear is ,so if taren mill is suffering bolvar THE lich king PvP raid and max weapon can only be gotten there in open world PvP raid ? Then its where player will be !

Blizzard should have been working on World of Warcraft 2, years ago.  They are so stagnant atm.

Because spending months and months to obtain your followers, level up your followers, and gear your followers for a chance at some piece of gear is 'free'?  Sounds to me like raiding is the easier way to get it.

While the game has been dumbed down over the years, its haters have been dumbed down even more.

Wow heroic raids are the toughest, most complicated raids in any mmo....and what does blizz do this xpac? They add a new harder difficulty of raids called mythic, locked at 20 man only....

Ya, totally dumbed down for 7 year olds...
  • KendaneKendane Member UncommonPosts: 225

Well the storyline might be interesting enough. Didn't even play MoP, depending on if I get a free trial with MoP free along with it, might give the game a brief return. Storyline wise though, if the Ironhorde is blunted in Dreanor, doesn't that mean the Stormwind and Alturac are never destroyed.....like did they figure, woops killed too many characters but through the power of TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIME travel they're back. Like....they change could mean that Arthas, Sylvannas, Lother, Uther, etc never died/became zombies?

It could make it interesting, it could just be a mess. Guess it's just a matter of wait and see.

(Hides behind flameshield) Sorry I didn't say this looks like crap, please don't kill me!

uhm.. no they did not add a harder difficulty. they just renamed them.

I'm quite disappointed, i love Wow and al ways have but it seems every xpac blizzard move more and more away from what WoW once was and try to reach out to gamers that don't care about the journey of leveling, meeting new people and then banding together to fight the boss for that epic loot. Now it seem insta this and insta that and you get this free for scratching your ass

    .

The only thing that seems to be good is model updates, but this is something that should have been done ages ago. Garrison seems good, but if what people say is true and you can send followers to run dungeons and do things for you, then whats the point of playing?

    .

Like the reviewer said  lore is where i needs to be, but this is seems to be the only department blizzard have done well in, but if i want just a good story i would read a book or watch a movie.

    .

Insta 90? is this a private server? the game already has people who have no idea what there doing at max level because they can zerg through out the entire game in less than a few days. hopefully its for those who have already reached 90, giving this to new players is not a good idea from what i said above

    .

It wasn't talked about but also last tier of raiding is only 20 man. This will have a massive impact on HC 10 man raiding guilds who have built up a team of solid players over the past 3 years. this will affect 25 man but not as much, but there going to need to cut 5 players from their team. This overall is the biggest upset, people pick 10 man raiding for a reason, for me it was because i could get to know people better an i don't find it fun having 702193 spells on my screen. Hopefully blizzard will re-think this.

    .

In the end ill have to give it ago an see, because i always give things ago before i make a final judgement, but from this information it's not looking great :(

You appear to be confusing needing an iLevel 700 item instead of a iLevel 500 item with difficulty.

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

They were pretty clear in that the mythic diff raid instances will have mythic diffaculty trash mobs etc.

The raid instances as a whole will be harder than ever before, which was already the most challenging and complex raid content in any MMO on the market. You can spin it however you like though to support your view.

Yay!!!  More Metzen Lolore bullshit.  Time travel?  More Orcs?  We're helping Garrosh now?  Still no Burning Legion?  Even more cock blocks for raiding?

Is a man not entitled to the herp of his derp?

Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.

That was an awful answer by the dev to that question, and I thought they did a terrible job altogether with the Q+A (although the questions were terrible too)

that said, I see no reason to spend resources on it.  Work on the version of th egame that 7 million people play.
