Except that the only reason you have to believe that they have debts is because one man said it. The same man who said that they have 20k subs. So you can believe both, you can believe neither, but you CAN'T believe just one.
It's funny that you say it is fact that the game is in financial trouble, and that the game is dead in the west... yet the only singular reference you have is to one drunk developer, who also said that they have 20k subscribers. You believe that the game is in financial trouble because of what Claus said, but you don't believe the game has 20k subscribers based on what Claus said.
Your logic is completely and totally and utterly broken.
Your difficulty is that you did not listen to the interview.
I did, and I have seen it summarized several different ways.
I have even seen you contradict yourself, waffling from saying subscribers, to people who have purchased the game.
At the end of the day, you have to take all of Claus or none of it. If you believe the game is in debt, then you also believe that the game has 20k players, end of the story. And if it has 20k players, it's far from "Game Over".
"To say that there are perhaps 2000 people occasionally logging in would be pushing the bounds of credibility"
Actually, according to the numbers, the developer that YOU are basing your entire argument around said the game has 20k subscribers, stop trying to dance around that. The hard code numbers we have is that there are 6k+ clanned actives in the NA server alone. No matter which way you try to run, your 2k estimate is woefully inaccurate. And that's not surprising, considering it seems you haven't played the game in eons. You said yourself you don't like it.
Don't want to argue on your logic, just want to say your hard-coded numbers are not actives but simply clanned players, meaning that non-subscribed characters are counted in.

The numbers do not count players who are no longer subscribed. They may count people who have cancelled their subscription but haven't run out of time yet, but they don't count people who can't log into the game.
Yeah sure, my alt is probably playing by himself and also paying the subscription as 20-25 of my clanmates, they are probably secretly playing while i sleep and telling anyone they are not playing just to troll us.
