    In fact, "immersion" and "entertainment" are often at odds. It's important for a given reader to determine which is more important (to him),

    Medieval setting with roller coasters - might be mildly entertaining, but hardly immersive.

    Medieval setting with Stocks for criminal control - immersive, but probably less than entertaining.
